Francis D'Avignon (Francis Ferdinand or Francios-Denis) 

Born about 1813 Paris, France. Son of Jacques Ferinand.
        He came to America from Hamburg,Germany July 26, 1842
         on the SS Stephanie arriving in New York harbor. 
         Francis died about 1871 USA. (He is buried in the 
         family plot in Waterford, Ct with Rose and his children)

       Elizabeth Willkings, married in Cathedral in Manchester,
       Lancashire, England, Sept. 7, 1841.
       She was born about 1819 in England(maybe Lancashire)
       the Daughter of John Richard Willkings.

       Elizabeth came to America from Hamburg, Germany on 
       Oct. 22, 842 on the SS Howard with her daughter Alice,
       arriving in New York. 
       Elizabeth died January 26, 1852 in New York City, Kings
       County, NY at the age of 33.

Children of Francis and Elizabeth:							
Alice D'Avignon born Aug 31,1842 in Hamburg, Germany.
        Alice came to America with her mother on the 
        SS Howard, Oct. 22, 1842.
        Alice became a US Citizen October 16, 1888 at 
        the age of 46 while residing in Hyde Park,Massachusetts.
        Alice never married.
Julia V. (Ceclia)D'Avignon born 1844 in New York City, NY.
	Julia married Daniel Waitt(from Chelsea, MA)
          about 1866 in Medford, MA. They had 7 children.
          Most of the children were born in Minnesota

Alexandre D'Avignon born 1845 in Phila, PA.
	Alexandre married Harrietta Sherman from Chelsea, MA
        June 30th,1867. Alexandre was a chair-seat maker in 1868.  
        He was a Conductor from 1869 to 1872. 
        He died about 1872 in Boston, MA.
        They had one son, Arthur Alexander born April 7, 1868.
        Arthur married Nellie Dojay in Stoneham, MA
         in August 27, 1909. She had two children from her
         previous marriage to Mr. Moore.  They were Althea and
         Clarence Moore.
Elizabeth D'Avignon born about 1848 New York City, NY. 
           She died before 1853.          
Mary D'Avignon born about 1849 in either NY City or Hartford, CT.
           She died before 1853.

 Married about 1853. Rosanna Kennedy born 1832 in Ireland. 
    Rose (Rosanna) died August 12, 1894 at the age of 62.
          while living at 27 Howard St.in New London,Ct. 
    She is buried in the family plot in St. Mary's Cemetery,
                Waterford, Ct.

  Children of Francis and Rosanna (Rose):

Joseph R. D'Avignon born 1853 in New York City, NY.
         Joseph died Feb. 22, 1879 at the age of 26 in Medford, MA
         He is buried in the family plot in Waterford, Ct.
         with his parents and sisters.

         Joseph married Margaret Battles in Concord, MA. 
         on August 15,1877. Margaret remarried, to John A. Gaffey
         of Medford, MA in Feb. 20, 1887.
      They had one son,John Joseph D'Avignon born 
         March 6,1878 in Concord, MA. 
  
         The spelling of his name changed to DeAvignon.
         

 
     John J. married Mary Murphy April 22, 1901 in Concord, MA. 
         Mary was born in Wales about 1872. Daughter of Michael
         Murphy and Mary Hyde.
 
         John J. and Mary had 4 children.  Mary Albena,John Bernard, 
         Francis K and Margaret E.  They lived in Charlestown, MA 

Charles J. D'Avignon born 1855 in New York City, NY.
         Charles died in Lowell, MA on March 24, 1936 
                at the age of 81
         Charles 1st marriage was to Frances McNamara in 
          New London,CT. Feb 9, 1880. Frances McNamara was born 
          about 1857 in Ireland.
         She was the daugher of William McNamara and Ellen Carney.
         Frances died January 4, 1917 in Lowell, MA.
Francis (FRANK) D'Avignon born about 1858 in New York City, NY.
         Frank Married Mary (Minnie) Ahern in at St. Mary's Church
             in New London, Ct. 
         Frank died Feb. 18, 1929, in New London, CT.
           Minnie was born 1865 in New London. Ct.  She was the 
           daughter of James & Mary Ahern of New London, Ct.
           Minnie died Feb. 17, 1936 in New London, Ct.	
           Both Frank & Mary are buried in the Ahern family plot
           in St. Mary's Cemetery in Waterford, Ct.
Lettina (Letitia) D'Avignon born July 10, 1859 in Medford, MA.
        Letitia died April 10,1911 in New New London, Ct. at the
        Memorial Hospital. She is buried in Waterford, CT. with her  
        mother & father.	
        Letitia married Sidney Bailey about 1893. Letitia and Sidney 
        had two children. Florence born about 1894 and Raymond Grant 
        born about 1895.	 
Rose T. D'Avignon born Sept 10, 1860 in Medford, MA.
        Rose died in 1910 and is buried in Waterford, CT.
        with her parents.  There is no indication that she ever 
        married.  She died in New London,Ct.

Helen Frances D'Avignon born Nov. 20,1880 in Boston, MA 
	Helen married William Kearon Hogan on Sept. 18, 1907 in Lowell, MA.
        William K.was born June 20,1877 in Lowell,MA
        William K.died March 25,1932 in Lowell, MA
	Helen died January 1965 Westford, MA.
Charles 2nd wife Katherine Griffin (no children)
        Married: January 4, 1918 in Lowell, MA.

        (William (Bill) died March 24, 1982)
	Married: Mary Eileen Wholey born Jan. 18, 1912 
        in Lowell, MA (Mary Eileen died July 30, 1997)
Frances Hogan born Jan 12, 1913 in Lowell, MA	
Joseph Warren Hogan born 1914 in Lowell, MA
	Married: Lillian Greenwood born in Nashua, NH
Margaret Katherine Hogan born 1923 in Lowell, MA
	Married: Waldo Sidney Leedberg on October 11, 1942 in Lowell, MA.
      Waldo was born 1921 in West Chelmsford, MA.
           They now live in Westford, MA.
