bulletWillard I. ROWE was born in 1887. He died on 27 Jan 1979. Willard I. Rowe retired as a high school teacher in June 1958 at the mandatory age of seventy. He had begun his teaching career in 1911 and served as principal from 1921 to 1942. A testimonial banquet with Theodore Kucharski as toastmaster was held June 3rd at the Talbot Gymnasium. That evening Ronald Scully was named the winner of a scholarship established in Mr. Rowe's name. The retiring teacher had also served a public library trustee for fifty-four years and as its treasurer for forty-five years when he retired in 1967. He died on January 27, 1979, at the age of ninety-one. Parents: Charles Robert ROWE and Annie Laura SANBORN.
