From Goodacre comes the following info: Wigard entered into a contracg with an agent of the Frankfort Company, dated 20 March 1685, to transport himself and family to America. In that Wigard states his own age as "36 or 37", Magdalena "36" Anna "9" William "4" Amilia "2 1/2" and Sibella "1/2". The family register in the Bible was written in German after all the children were born. the volume was printed in Germany, 1693, eight years after Wigard and family came to America. Wigard could not write. The register was all written in one hand at the same time, by a friend and Wigard was more than eighty years of age so this might account for descrepancies.

Wigard and his family settled in Germantown, Phila in 1685 and removed a short distance west in 1691, into Roxborough Twp. He bought five hundred acres of land, lying between and bordering the River Schuykill and Wissahickon Creek. Wigard was buried on his farm (Leverington Cem.) in a spot overlooking the Wissahickon. Magdalena was also probably buried here but there are no stones for Wigard and Magdalena.

jpatter notes a listing in the family bible by Wigard Levering's name reading "an untimely birth".

jpatter also credits "30000 names of immigrants in Pa" with listing Wilhelm in Roxboro Township with 150 Ac and Jacob with 50 Ac. Parents: Rosier LEVERING and Elizabeth VAN DE WALLE.

They removed from England with the Puritans becasue of religious persecution. It is difficult to trace events because records were not mandantory by the government and many times kept by the minister attending the event.

Family tradition of the remnants of the family at Gemen is that rosier and Elizabeth Van de Walle occupied the old Levering homestead at Gemena dn died there. Rosier's mother was from Wesel, near Holland.

Charles Leebrick and family of McDonald were summoned to Wayne, Neb., to attend the funeral of Mrs. Leebrick's mother, Mrs. O. C. Lewis, who dropped dead last Tuesday evening. They missed the train at Atwood and motored to the main line, reaching Trenton (Neb) in time to take the 8?30 train. R.R. Leebrick took them over and reports a very rough trip. -- The Square Deal, 3 Feb 1916.
