Robert Lewis Leebrick, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Leebrick was born October 16th, 1915 and departed this life April 17th, 1916, age 6 mo and 1 day. The little fellow just recovered from a spell of scarlet fever and pneumonia and before regaining his vitality fully was prostrated with measles. He lingered a few days and passed away. He leaves to mourn his loss, father and mother, one little sister, his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Leebrick and his grandfather Lewis from Nebraska who came to take the remains to Nebraska to be laid to rest in the silent tomb to await the resurrection morn.

Oh, Dear parents sad, loved ones do not weep as for those without hope. Your little treasure is just over yonder where there is no more pain, sickness or death. Yes, you will miss him but look beyond the things of this world to something higher, trander, and more noble and in some glad sweet day you will clasp little Robert Lewis to your hearts again.

The Benkelman Post & News Chronicle of July 18, 1924 reported it this way. "McDonald Farmer Killed". "Roy Leebrick, a well-to-do young farmer about 35 years old residing southeast of McDonald, was almost instantly killed last Thursday evening when a wagon loaded with corn passed over his body, crushing his chest. Mr. Leebrick was hauling corn and while yet in the lot, the team became frightened throwing him from the loaded wagon, the wheels pasing over his chest and death followed within a very short time.
"Mr. Leebrick was a single man. The funeral services were conducted at McDonald Sunday afternoon adn the body laid to rest in the McDonald Cemetery". My dad remarks that this account isn't completely accurate, since he was not killed in the lot but on the road to the house. He remembers sitting and watching as his Mom tried to revive him.

He appeared on the census on 7 Apr 1930 in Butte, Silver Bow Co, Mt.⁽⁵⁶⁸⁶⁾ He died about 17 Sep 1958 in Mineola, Mo.⁽²⁴⁷¹⁾ Obituary provided by Donald Leebrick from Sept 17, 1958 Centralia (Mo) area newspaper reads as follows: "MINEOLA FARMER DIES FROM ACCIDENTAL SHOTGUN WOUNDS Roy Stanley Leebrick, 31, a farmer living six miles south of Mineola, died Wednesday of last week from wounds suffered when a shotgun was accidently discharged. Funeral services were held Saturday in the Assembly of God Church at Mexico and burial took place at Centralia. Rev. Fowler officiated at the serviced.

Mr. Leebrick was returning home in his jeep at about 5 p.m. after having cut weeds on his farm and reached for his shotgun when the gun discharged, the load entering his right arm and penetrating into his chest. He screamed for his wife, who at once got into the jeep to hurry him to a doctor,but Mr. Leebrick collapsed after a short while and was dead.

He had taken the gun with him to kill foxes which recently had been killing many chickens on the farm. He had loaded both barrels of the gun before leaving his home that day.

Surviving, besides his wife, Clara Mae, are his children, Carl and Donald Leebrick; his step-children, Francis, Howard, John, Roger and Barbara Wells; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy S. Leebrick of Mexico; and his sisters, Mrs. Charles Blake of Mexico and Mrs. Gilbert Blackburn of Moline.
