     William Ashville Hulan was born on 23 September 1842 in Ashville, North Carolina.¹ He married first Sarah Francis McCrory on 16 December 1861 in Nashville, Davidson Co., Tennessee.¹ William Ashville Hulan married second Jennie Bell circa 1901 in Nashville, Davidson Co., Tennessee.¹ William died as the oldest man in Davidson Co. In 1947 in Davidson Co., Tennessee.¹

     Lydia Hunkins was born on 31 August 1711 in Topsfield, Essex Co., Massachusetts.¹ She married John Towne, son of John Towne and Mary Smith, on 6 March 1728 in Oxford, Worcester Co., Massachusetts.¹

     Edward Hutchinson Jr. was born circa 1613.¹ He married Abigail Button, daughter of Mark? Firmage and Alice Blessing.¹ Edward died from a wound inflicted by an Indian in King Philip's war on 19 August 1675 in Marlborough.¹

     Joseph Hutchinson was born circa 1665 in Topsfield, Essex Co., Massachusetts.¹ He married Rebecca Towne, daughter of Edmund Towne and Mary Browning, on 30 January 1701.¹

     Angeline Elizabeth Jessup was born circa 1812 in Connecticut.¹ She married John Henry Sloan, son of Thomas Sloan [Jr.] and Hannah Barnard, on 19 September 1829 in Seventh Presbyterian Church, New York, New York.² Angeline died on 27 December 1885 in Donelson, Davidson Co., Tennessee.^3,4
     

     Angeline Elizabeth Sloan was listed at age 38, born in Connecticut, as a member of the household of John Henry Sloan in Davidson Co., Tennessee, in the Census of 1850, enumerated 18 October 1850.¹

     The following newspaper clipping was found in the scrapbook (memory book) of Ida Vanetta McMurry, granddaughter of Angeline. There was no indication of the newspaper or date that it was published but evidently was a memorial to Angeline published shortly after her death.

Mrs. Angeline E. Sloan, wife of J. H. Sloan, died December 27th, 1885.

     Joseph Jessup married Elizabeth Town, daughter of William Towne and Mary Reynolds, circa 1804 in Stamford, Fairfield Co., Connecticut.¹ Joseph died before 1840.¹
     

     In the 1804-05 New York City Directory, Joseph and his family were living on Cherry Street and he was a shipwright.¹
