     Sarah Pratt was born on 20 June 1668 in Hartford, Hartford Co., Connecticut.² She married Timothy Phelps, son of Samuel Phelps and Sarah Griswold, on 13 November 1690 in Hartford, Hartford Co., Connecticut.² Sarah died on 18 February 1758 in Center Church Cemetery, Hartford, Hartford Co., Connecticut, at age 89.²

     Susannah Pratt was baptized on 9 December 1739 in First Congregational Church, Hartford, Hartford Co., Connecticut.^1,2 She married Thomas Sloan [Sr.], son of George Sloan Sr. and Mary Campbell, circa 1760 in Connecticut.³ Susannah died on 26 October 1813 in Hartford, Hartford Co., Connecticut, at age 73.³ She was interred in Old North Cemetery in Hartford, Hartford Co., Connecticut.¹

     Thomas made a will. Thomas' will was sealed with the the arms of the Pratts of Baldock, a fesse dancett in chief, two lions rampant. He names his wife, Joan Pratt, executrix, and heir with their children Thomas Jr., James, Andrew, and Agnes.

     Thomas Pratt Jr. married Ellen Coke.²

     Timothy Pratt was baptized on 12 May 1751.¹ He married Sarah Cadwell.¹ Timothy died on 31 May 1783 at age 32.¹

     William Pratt was born in 1691.^2,3 He married first Mary Caldwell.^1,3 He married second Amy Pinney, daughter of Nathaniel Pinney and Martha Thrall.^2,3 William died on 19 January 1753 in Hartford, Hartford Co., Connecticut.^3,4 He was buried on 19 January 1753 in Center Church, Hartford, Hartford Co., Connecticut.³
     

     William and Amy lived in front of the State House square in Hartford. He was Constable of Hartford in 1729, and in May 1731, "by virtue of a warrant from the treasurer of the colony (he) had gathered £177. 10. 0 and endeavored to keep said sum safely, some evil minded person did break said Pratts house and felonously stole it all."³

     William Pratt was baptized on 25 September 1736 in First Congregational Church, Hartford, Hartford Co., Connecticut.² He married Rachel Holden on 20 December 1764.^2,3

     William Pratt was born on 15 May 1653 in Saybrook, Middlesex Co., Connecticut.¹ He married Hannah Kirtland on 20 February 1678/79.^2,3 William died in 1718.²

     William was also known as [Lt.] William Pratt.¹

     William was an original proprietor and settler of Hartford. His home lot in 1639 was on the east side of the road to the Cow Pasture. He served in the Pequot War. In 1645, William sold his land to Matthew Beckwith and moved to Saybrook.³

     William Pratt was baptized in October 1562 in Baldock, Hertfordshire, England.¹ He married Elizabeth Prime in England.² William died in 1629 in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, England.² He was buried in St. Nicholas Church, Stevenange, Hertfordshire, England.²
     

     William was also known as [Rev.] William Pratt.²

     William's will is found in The Doctor of Commons, dated 1629 at Stevenange, Hertfordshire, where he was rector for thirty years. In it he mentions his wife, Elizabeth, and children, Richard, Mary, and Sarah. Additional children, Elizabeth, John, and William, are mentioned on his monument in the church at Stevenange.

     The history of the County of Hertford, England, by Robert Clutterbuck, Vol. II, p. 443, contains the following memorial of the Rev. Wm. Pratt, of Stevenange: "William Pratt, Clk, S.T.B., 6th December 1598. Patron Thomas Clark. Instituted by Bishop Chadderton. He was succeeded by Richard Meredith, Clk, S.T.D., 27th October, 1629. This church was dedicated to St. Nicholas."

     A tablet on the north wall of the church bears the following inscription (translated from Latin):

     "Here lies William Pratt, Bachelor of Sacred Theology, and most illustrioius rector of this church during thirty years. He had three sons, John, William, and Richard, and the same number of daughters, Sarah, Mary, and Elizabeth, by his renown wife, Elizabeth. At length, the course of his life being run, and his age becoming burdensome, he emigrated to the Celestrial country in the year of salvation 1629, aged 67.

     Three of William's children were not recognized in his will, Elizabeth, John, and William, possibly because they had left for America, or signified their intention of leaving, and received their portion. John Pratt and his brother William both arrived in Hartford with Rev. Thos. Hooker in 1636. In 1645 William Pratt sold his lands and moved to Saybrook Conn., and John remained in Hartford.¹
