     Hodges Council Jr. was born in 1643 in England.1 He married Lucy Hardy, daughter of John Hardy [Jr.] and Alice Bennett, between 1669 and 1675 in Isle of Wight Co., Virginia.1 Hodges died after 10 April 1699 in Isle of Wight Co., Virginia.2
     

     Hodges Counceill [sic] received 941 acres in Isle of Wight Co. on the head branches of the Beavor Dams, adjacent Robert Lawrence on 20 March 1677/8, adjacent to his own land and land of Wm. Collins, for the transportation of 19 persons: Wm. Russell, Ann Parr, Edwd. Thomas, Jno. Gibbs, Tho. Prittis (or Peittis), Arth. Spencer, Arth. Davis, Ann Cooke, Ja. Manning, Geo. Martin, Hodges Councill, Wm. Clent, Allexdr. Mathews, Kath. Thomas, Jno. Drake, Rebecca Fee, Chris. Elson, Tho. Davis, and Law. Blanders.3

     Hodges made a will on 10 April 1699. Hodges Council's will names his eldest son Hodges, son John who he leaves the land he bought of Robert Lawrence and George Peirce, son Robert, son Hardy, daughter Christian the wife of Edward Bryan, and daughter Lucy. The will was witness by Joseph Bridger and John Keaton, Jr.
