     Thomas and Bryan(t) purchased land in Bertie Co., North Carolina on Uraha Swamp at Patterson Branch. In 1729 they applied for livestock marks. They were in Northampton Co. in 1741, when it was created from part of Bertie Co. In 1750/56 Thomas received a quit rent on 680 acres on Uraha Swamp. It is generally considered today that the Bryan(t) listed as Thomas cousin may have been his nephew. Although not formally shown, this Bryan(t) could be shown as Bryan(t) Jr. It is thought that Thomas had a brother by the same name making him Bryan(t) Sr.¹

     Thomas made a will in Northampton Co., North Carolina. Thomas's Will mentions his wife and his childen, grandson John Daughtrey and cousin Bryan(t) Daughtry. Witnesses were Joshua Daughtrey and Alexandria Daughtrey.
