     Lattie Louise Copeland was born on 30 August 1922.¹ Lattie died on 25 September 2001 in Nashville, Davidson Co., Tennessee, at age 79.² She was interred on 28 September 2001 in Bethlehem in Ashland City, Cheatham Co., Tennessee.²

     Mary Alice Cotton was born circa 1853.¹ She married George Alexander Strother on 31 May 1872 in Sumner Co., Tennessee.¹ Mary died on 30 May 1919 in Sumner Co., Tennessee.¹

     Catherine Couch was born circa 1790 in North Carolina.^1,2,3 She married John Daniel on 28 December 1814 in Orange Co., North Carolina.⁴ Catherine died after 1870 in Tennessee.³
     

     In the Census of 1850, enumerated 9 October 1850, Catherine Couch was listed as a head of household in Sumner Co., Tennessee. She was listed at age 60, occupation as a farmer with property value of $1,200, born in North Carolina. There are three children listed with her, Thomas age 10, Joshua age 8, and Mary age 6. It is uknown whether these are her children. They were not mention in the will of her husband, John Daniels, and with her age of 60 it seems unlikely that they are hers. Perhaps they are the children of an unknown son who is deceased.. Also enumerated in the household: Thomas Daniel, Joshua Daniel and Mary Daniel.²

     Catherine Daniel was listed at age 65, born in North Carolina, as a member of the household of Lemuel Lawrence in Sumner Co., Tennessee, in the Census of 1860, enumerated 14 June 1860.⁵

     In the Census of 1870, enumerated 7 June 1870, Catherine Couch was listed as a head of household in Gordonsville, Logan Co., Kentucky. She was listed at age 46, occupation as keeping house with personal property value of $100, born in North Carolina. Also enumerated in the household: Catherine S. Brown and Daniel C. Brown.³

     Elwood Cox married Stella M. Epley, daughter of Elishie Monroe Epley and Blanch Bennison, on 12 January 1935.¹

     Curtis Creekmur was born on 28 October 1885 in Kentucky.^1,2,3 Curtis married Alice Rhea Lawrence, daughter of Robert W. Lawrence and Alice Rhea Murphy, probably before 1912.⁴ Curtis died in June 1966 at age 80. Last residence listed in the Social Security Death Index was Nashville, Davidson Co., Tennessee.³
     

     Curtis Creekmur was listed as the head of a family on the 1920 Census enumerated 12 January 1920, in Nashville, Davidson Co., Tennessee. He was listed at age 33, occupation as a finisher of hard wood floors, born in Kentucky. Also enumerated in the household: Alice R. Creekmur, Winifred L. Creekmur and Robert L. Creekmur.¹

     In the Census of 1930, enumerated 11 April 1930, Curtis Creekmur was listed as head of household in Nashville, Davidson Co., Tennessee. He was listed age 44, occupation as a floorlayer, born in Kentucky. Also enumerated in the household: Ray Creekmur, Robert L. Creekmur, Robert Cheek and Winifred L. Cheek.²

     Robert L. Creekmur was born on 18 August 1916 in Tennessee.^2,1,3 Robert died at the VA Hospital or Brandywood Nursing Home from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head in December 1983 at age 67. Last residence listed in the Social Security Death Index was Nashville, Davidson Co., Tennessee.^4,3

     Winifred L. Creekmur was born on 9 December 1911 in Tennessee.^2,1,3 She married Robert Cheek.¹ Winifred died on 3 November 1999 at age 87. Last residence listed in the Social Security Death Index was Nashville, Davidson Co., Tennessee.³

     Winifred L. Cheek was listed as a daughter at age 18, born in Tennessee, in the household of Curtis Creekmur in Nashville, Davidson Co., Tennessee, in the Census of 1930 enumerated 11 April 1930.¹

     John D. Crimmons was born in September 1871 in Tennessee.^1,2,3 John married first Unknown ?. John married second Emma M. ? circa 1908.³
     

     John appears on the 1880 census in the household of James and Margaret at age 8. It appears that he is probably Margaret's son from her first marriage. What is not cleared is whether he was adopted by James and took the last name of Lawrence or not. On the 1900 and 1910 U. S. Census he is listed with the surname of Crimmons so I assume he was not adopted by James.¹

     John D. Crimmons was listed as a son at age 28, born in Tennessee, in the household of James David Lawrence in Davidson Co., Tennessee, in the Census of 1880 enumerated 3 June 1880.¹

     John D. Crimmons was listed as a step-son at age 28, occupation as a salesman, grocery, born in Tennessee, in the household of James David Lawrence in Nashville, Davidson Co., Tennessee, in the Census of 1900 enumerated 8 June 1900.²

     John D. Crimmons was listed as the head of a family on the 1910 Census enumerated 18 April 1910, in Nashville, Davidson Co., Tennessee. He was listed at age 38, occupation as a carpenter, born in Tennessee. Also enumerated in the household: Emma M. Crimmons.³

     Johnny Crimmons married Margaret Ann Quinn before 1872.¹

     Christopher Daniel was born circa 1844.²

     Elizabeth Daniel was born circa 1824 in Tennessee.^2,3 She married Stephen H. Daniel on 13 November 1845.²
     

     In the Census of 1850, enumerated 1 June 1850, Elizabeth Daniel was listed as a head of household in Sumner Co., Tennessee.³

     Francis M. Daniel was born on 8 June 1823 in North Carolina.^2,3,4,5,6,7 She married Andrew J. Brown.⁸ Francis died on 11 March 1917 in Russellville, Logan Co., Kentucky, at age 93.² She was buried on 12 March 1917 in Russellville, Logan Co., Kentucky.²
     

     Francis was also known as Fanny.

     Francis M. Brown was listed at age 37, born in North Carolina, as a member of the household of Andrew J. Brown in District No. 2, Gordonsville Village, Logan Co., Kentucky, in the Census of 1860, enumerated 11 July 1860.³

     In the Census of 1870, enumerated 7 June 1870, Francis M. Brown was listed as a head of household in Gordonsville, Logan Co., Kentucky. She was listed at age 46, occupation as keeping house with personal property value of $100, born in North Carolina. Also enumerated in the household: Catherine S. Brown, Daniel C. Brown and Catherine Couch.⁴

     In the Census of 1880, enumerated 17 June 1880, Francis M. Brown was listed as head of household in Sharon, Todd Co., Kentucky. She was listed at age 46, occupation as keeping house, born in North Carolina. Also enumerated in the household: Nancy Jane Foster, Catherine S. Brown and Daniel C. Brown.⁵

     Francis M. Brown was listed as mother-in-law at age 76, born in North Carolina, in the household of Peter Bennison in Russellville, Logan Co., Kentucky, in the Census of 1900 enumerated 5 June 1900.⁶

     Francis M. Brown was listed as mother-in-law at age 87, born in North Carolina, in the household of Bates Young in Russellville, Logan Co., Kentucky, in the Census of 1910 enumerated 25 April 1910.⁷

     John Daniel was born circa 1785.¹ He married Catherine Couch on 28 December 1814 in Orange Co., North Carolina.² John died in October 1850 in Sumner Co., Tennessee.¹
     

     Robert A. King sold 51 1/2 acres to John Daniel for #124 31 May 1836. Thomas Anderson sold 1 3/4 acres 20 poles to John Daniel for $48 on 28 January 1841. This totals 53 1/4 acres 20 poles.³

     On 9 April 1978, Nancy Lawrence and Elizabeth Daniel sold to Sarah J. West for a sum of $75 45 acres being the tract of land known as the old Daniel tract, formerly owned by John Daniel, our interest being one third each, inherited by us from said father John Daniel." What happened to Fanny's one third interest and what happened to the other 8 1/4 acres? On 9 April 1878 Lee Head, adm. of John W. Head, "sold to Sarah Jane West, wife of John West, the undivided 1/3 interest of his intestate in tract of land consisting of 45 acres and know as the old Daniel tract." This appears to be Fanny's 1/3 interest. John Head was born in 1822 and died intestate in 1874. His wife, Eveline, is buried beside him in the Gallatin Cemetery.³ Two of the grandsons of Fanny married women with the surname Head. It would appear that Fanny at some point sold her share of her father's estate to John Head who may have been the father or grandfather of the two women who married Fanny's grandsons, Joseph H. Bennison and Dave Bennison.

     John Daniel was listed as the head of a family on the 1840 Census in Sumner Co., Tennessee. Enumerated were:

          2 White Males 40-50, John
          1 White Female 15-20, Elizabeth, Francis
          1 White Female 20-30, Nancy
          1 White Female 40-50, Catherine.⁴

     John made a will on 17 August 1849. Will of John Daniel:

     I John Daniel of the County of Sumner and state of Tennessee, being of sound mind and memory do make and publish this my last will and testament hereby making all others that I may have written at any time _____ item first after my just debts are paid, I give to my beloved wife Catherine all of my estate both real and personal consisting of land, houses, hogs, sheep, all farming tools of every description, house hold and kitchen furniture, to have and to hold during her natural life or widowhood. If she marries then the land to be sold and the proceeds being all divided between my three daughters, Elizabeth, Nancy, and Fanny and at the decease of my wife Catherince it is my will all my furniture go to my daughter Nancy and at the death of my wife should there be any stock of any kind belonging to my estate it is my will all of her property both real and personal go to my daughter Fanny and her heirs to have and to hold during their natural life and further it is my will that the portion of property, stock that may be coming from my estate to my daughter Fanny I give alone to her and her heirs forever. It is my wish that the one third of the proceeds of my land above remain to my daughter Elizabeth, go to her and her heirs forever.      Mary Daniel was born circa 1844 in Tennessee.¹
     

     Mary Daniel was listed at age 6, born in Tennessee, as a member of the household of Catherine Couch in Sumner Co., Tennessee, in the Census of 1850, enumerated 9 October 1850.¹

     Nancy Daniel was born on 18 January 1819 in North Carolina.¹ She married Lemuel Lawrence, son of Charles Lawrence and Elizabeth Daughtrey, on 5 October 1849 in Gallatin, Sumner Co., Tennessee.^1,2,3 Nancy died on 7 August 1883 in Bowling Green, Warren Co., Kentucky, at age 64.¹
     

     Nancy was also known as Nannie.

     Nancy Lawrence was listed at age 33, born in North Carolina, as a member of the household of Lemuel Lawrence in Sumner Co., Tennessee, in the Census of 1850, enumerated 9 October 1850.⁴

     Nancy Lawrence was listed at age 31 (sic), born in North Carolina, as a member of the household of Lemuel Lawrence in Sumner Co., Tennessee, in the Census of 1860, enumerated 14 June 1860.⁵

     Nancy Lawrence was listed at age 50, born in North Carolina, as a member of the household of Lemuel Lawrence in Sumner Co., Tennessee, in the Census of 1870, enumerated 23 June 1870.⁶

     Nancy Lawrence was listed as mother at age 61, born in Tennessee, in the household of John William Lawrence in Davidson Co., Tennessee, in the Census of 1880 enumerated 9 June 1880.⁷

     Stephen H. Daniel married Elizabeth Daniel, daughter of John Daniel and Catherine Couch, on 13 November 1845.¹

     Thomas Daniel was born circa 1840 in Tennessee.¹
     

     Thomas Daniel was listed at age 10, born in Tennessee, as a member of the household of Catherine Couch in Sumner Co., Tennessee, in the Census of 1850, enumerated 9 October 1850.¹

     Unknown Daniel was born between 1820 and 1825.¹
     

     On the 1840 U. S. Census for Sumner Co., Tennessee, a male in the age bracket of 15-20 is listed in the household of John Daniel. In his will probated in 1849 John does not mention a son, only three daughters, Fanny, Elizabeth, and Nancy. On the 1850 U. S. Census for Sumner Co., Tennessee, Catherine, John's widow is listed with three children, Thomas age 10, Joshua age 8, and Mary age 6. These three children may be children of a son that is listed on the 1840 Census and who may have died before John wrote his will. They are being treated as such until futher research either proves this assumption correct or incorrect.

     Louisa J. Darnall was born on 29 October 1824.¹ She married Thomas Gregory.¹

     Elizabeth Daughtrey was born say 1765 in Northampton Co., North Carolina.¹ She married Charles Lawrence say 1786 probably in North Carolina. The marriage date is based on the analysis of the 1787 North Carolina Census.. Elizabeth died circa 1836 in Tennessee.
     

     Elizabeth was also known as Betsy.

     In the Taxable Property and Polls in Sumner Co. for the years 1816, 1820, and 1821 Elizabeth is listed with 50 acres on Sink Creek.

     On 4 November 1833, land that had been conveyed to Elizabeth Lawrence after the death of her husband, Charles, for her use durng her widowhood was deed to Elizabeth and the heirs of Charles Lawrence. That deed is as follows:²

     This Indenture made the 4th day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and thirty three between Richard Vincent of Warren County and State of Tennessee of the one part and the heirs of Charles Lawrence formerly of Sumner County and the State aforesaid of the other part witnessed that the said Richard Vincent for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred dollars to him in hand paid for said heirs by Robert Lawrence Executor of the last will and testament of the said Charles Lawrence the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged had bargained and sold and by these present doth bargain and sell alun [sic] convey and confirm unto said heirs a certain tract or parcel of land lying in the County of Sumner aforesaid on the waters of Sinking Creek Beginning at the north west corner of a tract belonging to the heirs of Jacob Howdyshalt dec'd running thence West with Schluters & Vinsons lines formerly Rutherfords & Pattons sixty four poles to the North East Corner of a tract formerly belonging to ane Farr then South one hundred & seventy seven poles to a Red oak then East sixty four poles to a stake in Jacob Howdyshalt western boundary line thence north with said line to the Beginning Containing fifty acres be the same more or less it being the same tract of land that the said Richard Vincint conveyed to Elizabeth Lawrence widow of the said Charles Lawrence during her widowhood to have & to hold the above described land & premises with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining and the said Richard Vincent doth doth [sic] hereby for himself his heirs Executors promise and agreed to warrant & defend the tract of land herein described with the appurtenances against all and every Legal or equitable right little claim intrust or ________ of himself his heirs assigns and all other persons whomsoever to the above proper use and behoof of the heirs of the said Charles Lawrence before mentioned their heirs and assgins forever reserving however unto Elizabeth Lawrence widnow of the said Charles Lawrence before mentioned the right and priviledge to occupy possess & enjoy the tract of land herein described with the priviledges and appurtenances thereunto belonging during here Widowhood according to the prospect & meaning of a deed executed by the said Richard Vincent to Elizabeth Lawrence on the seventh day of January one thousand Eight hundred & nine In witness whereof the said Richard Vincent doth hereunto set his hand and seal this day and year first written Signed Sealed and acknowledged in presence of
