     Richard III FitzAlan was born in 1346 in Arundel, Essex, England.² He married first Elizabeth de Bohun, daughter of William de Bohun and Elizabeth de Badlesmere, in Derbyshire, England, on 28 September 1359.² He married second Philippa Hastings, daughter of Edmund de Mortimer and Philippa of Clarence, on 15 August 1390.³ Richard was beheaded on 21 September 1397 in London, England.²

     Richard FitzAlan II was born circa 1313 in Arundel, Sussex, England.^2,3 He married first Isabel le Despenser, daughter of Hugh le Despenser and Eleanor de Clare, in Kings Chapel, Havering-atte-Bower, Essex, England, on 9 February 1320/21.² Richard FitzAlan II was divorced from Isabel on 4 December 1344.² He married second Eleanor Plantagenet, daughter of Henry Plantagenet and Maud de Chaworth, in Ditton Church, Stoke Poges, Buckinghamshire, England, on 6 February 1344/45.^2,3 Richard died on 24 January 1375/76 in Arundel, Essex, England.² He was interred in Chapter House, Lewes Priory in Sussex, England.⁴

     In 1345 Richard repudiated his wife, Isabel, on the ground that he had never consented to the marriage. He received "papal recognition of the nullity of the union".

     Thomas FitzAlan was born on 13 October 1381.¹ He married Beatriz de Portugal on 26 November 1405 in Lambeth. Beatrice was the illegitimate daughter of John I, King of Portugale.² Thomas died on 13 October 1415 at age 34 of dysentery contracted at the seige of Harfleur.²
