Mattheson, which occurred at her home on Friday, February 5, 1932. She was born at Edmunds, on October 2, 1893, and was the daughter of Willis e. and Eva E. Andrews. On June 10, 1911 she married Andrew Mattheson of Dennysville. Mrs. Mattheson was a woman of gentle and domestic temperament, always putting the interests and comfort of her husband and children before all other considerations. She was one of the charter members of the Dennys River Grange. The funeral was held at her home on Sunday, February 7, Rev. Mr. Atwood of Pembroke preached the funeral services. Many beautiful flowers were brought and sent by the large circle of friends of Mrs. Mattheson. She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, Andrew Mattheson, three sons, George, Archie, and Keith of Edmunds; also her parents, Mrs. and Mrs. Willis E. Andrews of Edmunds. OBITUARY: George Mattheson, the oldest man of Dennysville, Me., passed away at his home Sunday morning, September 19, after four days of illness. Mr. Mattheson was born in Glenluce, Wigtonshire, Scotland, August 12, 1828. he came to Dennysville in April, 1856, and bought a tract of uncleared land which he cleared for his farm. Here he built a home and lived there until his death. He lived a strictly Christian life and was a member of the Dennysville Congregational Church, respected and loved by all who knew him. He leaves to mourn his loss three sons, George of North Andover, Mass.; Andrew of Edmunds, Me., and Ritchie of Dennysville; two daughters, Mrs. E. B. Smith of West Pembroke, Me., and Miss Abbie Mattheson of Lawrence, Mass.; one brother Peter, of Elberta, Michigan; nine grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Mr. Hankins at Mr. Mattheson's late home on Monday afternoon. The flowers were many and beautiful. The bearers were his three sons and one grandson. As such, will rely on Handwritten Descendant Chart provided by Rob Williamson for the birthdate of August 3, 1828 which seems more logical.

Based on the above: As of August 30, 2003; 5 male children were documented. At the time of George's death, three were still living. The death of one of the male children (the first Ritchie) was already deductively reasoned based on census records. The death of Thomas Mattheson can further be deduced as being prior to that of George Sr. based on this obituary.
