Mrs. Eatherton Succumbs after Fall At Home

Mrs. Clara B. Eatherton, 81 died at 1:30 p.m. Friday in Stephens Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient since a fall at her Breckenridge home Tuesday.

Born Clara B. Williamson Aug. 21, 1877 in Clyde, Kansas, she married Ed Eatherton at Kansas City, Missouri, in 1894. They moved from Missouri to Ranger in 1918 and to Stephens County in 1920. Her husband, a carpenter, died in 1923.

Mrs. Eatherton was a member of the First Christian Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. W.J. Lawrence and Mrs. Henry Cruise; one son Jack of Dallas; one sister, Mrs. Bertha McCarty of Springhill, Kansas; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the First Christian Church with Rev. Alan C. Lynch, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Breckenridge Cemetery under the direction of Melton Funeral Home.
