General Notes:
He was a Lt. Col. in the RI Regiment of Foot
serving in the French & Indian War. In 1755 and 1756 he was a Lieutenant
in Capt. Bosworth's Co. In 1757 he was appointed 1st Lieutenant in Capt.
Gardner's Co. but was superseded on March 19, 1757. In 1759 he was appointed
Captain. In 1760 he was a Major in Col. Whiting's Regt. In 1761 he became
a Lieutenant Colonel in Col. Rose's Regt. and in 1762 he was in command
of a detachment of that regiment which served at the capture of Havana.
He gave his life in this battle.
