Family Fondahn came from the Relative "Hallback" Halmstad. Name and date about Nils great-grandparents born beginning 1800 I never have heard anything about.
1) Nils' father's parents 2) Nils mother's parents
The family Lars Moller [sic] who emigrate to America Year 1903. They lived on a farm for many years near Alexandria, Minn. I have told it to you before. It is their grandchildren who visited Trelleborg. Jarmon spent 3 days in 1973 and his sister Ryllis spent 3 weeks during 1980 and 1981. Ryllis Frase wrote to us that she had ordered a room and a kitched for six weeks to 18 April 1982. Se we are waiting she see us any times. Ryllis likes travelling and has several friends here now. She retired a year ago and she paid just 4000 Kroner for a ticket last year.
With Lars Jonsson's father (my great-grandfather) and other people from the same time it is more difficult. I never have heard anything about those. People who are interested in genealogy must read it in the old church registers. From the time before year 1900 all church registers are protected in the "Landsarkivet" in Lund; a little from the death book and a little from the birth books so folks can identify one person. Beginning from the birth date is the best. I have been to the Ladsarkivet to get certianty of Lars Moller's parents. A dark place with badly written books.
My old grandmother Karna Larsson who lived here by us when I was a boy, she has a few books I couldn't read, it had so strange characters. Karl has spent 10 years in America. He went to evening classes for two years one day a week, years ago, for better pronunciation. But the spelling is difficult to be perfect.
My mother's mother Karna Larsson told me that she walked from Katslosa, Trelleborg when she was 17 years old to look for (advice about) a job (35 kilometers - a brave girl). I asked her why so didn't walk to Ystad; it was nearer. (1920) No, no - she had heard that only "tattare" lived in Ystad (bad people), but in Trelleborg she had heard that there lived such good and excellent people - there she wanted to go.
Nils and Karl Larsson married two sisters. Linnea is doubel cousins with Karl Larsson's children and Linnea and I are cousins. My mother was very much younger than her two sisters so all except two of my cousins on my mother's side have passed away.
