Through the years, the instruction of Confirmation Classes has been the responsibility of the Pastor, and each has conducted class in a different manner. Though the style of instruction may change, the information has not. The study of the catechism has always been a focus on God's word, as well as the understanding of Church Doctrine.
In years past, confirmation students have gone through a variety of testing processes in order to become a confirmed member of the church. Some have had oral review while lined up in front of the congregation; while others had a more semi-private review of questions and answers at an evening meeting before family and friends. A few wrote the test in private.
The following is a list of the confirmands of Scandia Church, with the first class recorded in 1896.
