Last Will and Testament of Fintin Lawler

I, Fintin Lawler of the Town of Somersworth, Strafford County, State of New Hampshire do make, publish and declare my last will and Testament as follows, namely:

First. I direct my two executrices hereinafter mentioned to pay all of my just debts and funeral charges.

Second. I give & bequeath unto each of my children, viz: Alicia F., Catherine A., Hannah & Ellen Lawler two hundred dollars. I also give and bequeath unto my daughter the said Alicia Lawler five hundred dollars in addition to said two hundred above bequeathed, making her total bequest seven hundred dollars. I give & bequeath unto said Alicia F., the addition sum of five hundred before mentioned because she has always given to me her earnings freely and willingly.

Third. I give, bequeath and devise unto my wife Bridget Lawler for and during her natural life, the use income and improvement of all the rest, residue and remainder of my whole estate, real, personal and mixed.

Fourth, At the decease of my wife the said Bridget Lawler, I give, bequeath and devise all of the rest, residue and remainder of my said estate, then remaining, in equal shares unto my children the said Alicia F., Catherine A., Hannah & Ellen Lawler, their heirs and assigns forever to have and to hold the same in equal shares to them their heirs and assign forever.

Fifth. I do hereby appoint my wife the said Bridget Lawler and my daughter Alicia F. Lawler executrices of this my last will and testament here by revoking all former wills by me made. And it is my express desire that my said executrices give bond to Judge of Probate for said Strafford County for the payment of debts only, without any sureties thereon.

Witness my hand and seal this second day of August, A.D. 1883
