Ruby Level
a narrow arch
[The Hammer's Mark]
The chamber is little more than an ante-room expanding from a hallway to the northwest. Display tables laden with impressive hammers flank its walls. Candlelight shed from a large iron fixture above glitters off the metal blades and polished wood handles. To the south, the room narrows into another corridor.
Obvious exits: south, northwest
On the modwir display table you see a massive teak-handled warhammer, a heavy ash-handled warhammer, a massive felwood-handled warhammer, a massive modwir-handled warhammer and a massive ebony-hilted warhammer. (79k each - blunts)
On the iron display table you see a topaz-studded invar war hammer (32k), an enamelled gem-studded war hammer (26k), a pearl-studded silver war hammer (29k), a heavy bronze war hammer (15k), a heavy vultite war hammer (75k), a massive ebony-handled warhammer (79k), a heavy mithril war hammer (34k), an elegant modwir-handled warhammer (79k) and a massive oak-handled ora warhammer (39k). (all- blunts)
[The Hammer's Mark]
A forge sits on the far wall of the room, bellowing smoke into a sooty opening in the ceiling. Tools hang from the flange of the smoke guard, as well as off of racks on the wall behind the forge. A couple of display tables flank the forge, their contents notable to those who know a weapon's worth. You also see a stained oak display table with some stuff on it.
Obvious exits: north
On the oak display table you see a mithril gold-filigreed warhammer (26k), a spiked ora war hammer (31k), a carved mithril war hammer (23k), a ruby-studded vultite war hammer (79k) and a wicked steel-studded warhammer (17k). (all - blunt)
a golvern-bound round oak door
[Dagnus' Depot, Weapons]
Pale limestone walls streaked with bands of red sandstone and smoky blue granite are drizzled with rivulets of cloudy flowstone, a remnant of the constant water seepage that occurred over the passage of time. All trace of moisture is gone now, leaving only the tendril-like fingers of calcite running from ceiling to floor.
Obvious exits: northeast, northwest, out
[Dagnus' Depot, Weapons]
Niches have been carved into the limestone walls here, making perfect narrow displays for a variety of wares. Rough-hewn sconces of milky quartz enhance the illumination of the room, their small bowl-shapes filled with oil. You also see a tall modwir weapon rack with some stuff on it.
Obvious exits: southwest
On the modwir weapon rack you see a fel-hilted invar limb-cleaver (3k - OHE), a silver-veined glaes twisted truncheon (5.5k - blunt), a basket-hilted vultite cresset sword (95k - OHE), a swept-hilt mithglin battlesword (80k - 2 hander) and a razor-sharp glaes spiked mace (43k).
[Dagnus' Depot, Weapons]
Streaks of milky quartz flecked with silvery mica thread in meandering stripes somewhat parallel to the bands of red sandstone and smoky blue granite layered in the limestone walls. You also see a wide fel weapon rack with some stuff on it.
Obvious exits: southeast
On the fel weapon rack you see a ruby-spiked gornar knee-breaker (7k - blunt), a sapphire-set rolaren warblade (90k - OHE, zested, blessable), an ornate mithglin cinquedea (5.5k - edged), a diamond-edged glaes skull-crusher (39k - blunt) and a ruby-pommeled invar claidhmore (75k).
Note - warblade was later removed
an alcove
[Talonware]
Three tiered stone ledges line the back wall, each draped in fraying velvet of a different hue: ebon at the top, dark crimson at the bottom, and lusterless white in between. A heavy mithril chain strung across the rear of the cave supports no less than six lanterns, which shed a cold but pervasive radiance over the weapons arrayed on display. In his dusk blue livery, the salesclerk blends well into the shadows -- except for his pale grey eyes, which glitter like ice. You also see a discreet vellum notice, an engraved dark grey ora plaque and a barred black vultite gate.
Obvious exits: out
Notice reads:
It reads:
The black vultite gate will open at ten in the morning on Feastday.
There will be six events. The first will be open to giantmen, the second to halflings, the third to elven types, the fourth to humans, and the fifth to dwarves. The sixth will be open to everyone. These events will be discretely announced through the caverns at the time at which they occur, but no allowances will be made for tardiness.
Observers are welcome, so long as they obey the rules. Ignorance of the law is no excuse.
Plaque reads:
-- TALONWARE --
The man who fights with a staff, a sword, or a spell is a coward. He has not "killed" anything -- he flails about like an ancient with a crutch. If something happens to die, he deserves no praise, for he has no heart for the killing -- he should take up knitting instead!
If you have ripped the pulsing heart of your enemy from his chest and laughed before his dying eyes, you're in a good place. If not, go find a bar -- you've no use for these, and I've no use for you.
TETRAIN
On the ebon-draped ledge you see a neatly printed card, a dark crimson vultite fantail dagger (7.7k), a golden skull-engraved dagger (2k - no enchant), a bone-hilted carved glaes misericorde (5.1k), a ceremonial invar crescent dagger (1.3k - +2), a black cobra fang-inset ora stiletto (2k) and a glistening steel butcher knife (1k). (all - edged, dagger based)
Card reads:
These are good for slaughter, good for skinning, and, if you need it, good for ceremony. If you can't tell these are daggers, get an empath for your eyes.
On the white-draped ledge you see a neatly printed card, a gold-chased matte black fist-scythe (1k), a speckled dark invar yierka-spur (2.3k), a sinuous dark red imflass troll-claw (13.5k), a fel-handled green faenor tiger-claw (3.5k), a night black mithglin-bladed slash-jack (20250 silver) and a serrated cerulean glaes pit-knife (10.5k). (all - brawling weapons)
Card reads:
When properly gripped, these will move with your strike like part of your body, just as a tiger's claws move with the swipe of the tiger's paw. If you are afraid to fight with your fists, don't even think about trying to use one of these.
On the crimson-draped ledge you see a neatly printed card, an ornate blue imflass knuckle-blade (7.5k), a skull-tooled pyrothag hide cestus (1k), a siren lizard leather and ora razorpaw (3.1k), a white-swirled ebon glaes knuckle-duster (10.25k), a velnalin hide invar-spiked grab-stabber (1.5k) and a boar hide glaes-spiked paingrip (9.3k). (all - brawling weapons)
Card reads:
It reads:
The hides arrayed here are so supple that you will swear they enhance your freedom of motion instead of restricting it. In the moment when your fist cracks bone, your hand will be protected, but the talons will bite in... the talons that gods forgot to give men, crafted to fix the fault of the gods.
a gem-encrusted archway
[Kadela's Smithy, Entry Tunnel]
Littering the floor of this dark, crystalline cavern are various scraps of metals and shards of broken swords. High wooden beams reach from floor to ceiling on both sides of the room, creating a triangular archway. Large iron hooks, twisted into the support beams, hoist nets of coal, raw materials, and an assortment of gems. You also see a thin lacquered pine table with some stuff on it and a sooty metal display rack with some stuff on it.
Obvious exits: north, out

[Kadela's Smithy, Gem Cuttins]
Tiny shards of emeralds, sapphires, and an assortment of sparkling gems layer the floor of this wood-beamed cavern. A pair of particularly large, oak barrels are heaped with dozens of hilt types, hafts, and shafts. A rusted oil lamp dimly illuminates a cleverly cut, narrow crystal workbench in the corner of the room. You also see a gem-inlaid metal rack with some stuff on it and a jaggedly cut curtain.
Obvious exits: south, northwest
On the metal rack you see a small silver ora misericord (2.5k - edged), an elegant vultite espadon (234k - edged), a gold-edged mithril doloire (28k - 2 hander), a heavy spiked ora military flail (18.5k - 2 hander), a brushed vultite flamberge (310k - 2 hander), a glyph-etched glaes military pick (114k - 2 hander) and a fiery red glaes bidenhander (174k - 2 hander).

[Kadela's Smithy, Workshop]
In this reclusive alcove, the harsh sounds of the smithy fade into a quiet hum. Glittering gem-inset weapons are displayed proudly, each revealing their own intricate design. Several metal tools lie in a hammered bowl on a rough-sawn pine table. You also see an etched crystal sign and a jaggedly cut curtain.
Obvious exits: none

[Kadela's Smithy, Metal Wares]
Resting on top of a rough-sawn pine table, piles of color-sorted gems are lined neatly in parallel rows. On the rear wall, various specimens of forged weaponry are inset into crystal crevices, cut purposefully to display wares. Leaning against a wide haon counter, a burly, bearded dwarf eyes the shoppers keenly as they browse. You also see a dusty fel rack with some stuff on it.
Obvious exits: southeast
On the fel rack you see a thin dwarven vultite awl-pike (258k - polearm), a glyph-etched glaes Hammer of Kai (121k - polearm), a glossy silver mithril shail (8.6k - thrown weapon), a brass-tipped ora sarissa (39.5k - polearm), a double-spiked vultite halberd (158k) and a reinforced vultite runka (258k - polearm).
a rust-covered door
[Weapons of Little Destruction]
Sparsely furnished, this is the entrance to Chavie's Weapons of Little Destruction. Weapons, shields, armor and other gear are scattered over several counters. It is a wonder that anything can be found! You also see the fiery red Grolschin disk and a rust-covered door.
Obvious exits: down
On the silver counter you see a pure white drakar broadsword (577k - edged - 75/160 - weighs 5 lbs. - 2x), a pure white glaes bastard sword (799k) and an ancient white imflass flail (59.9k).
On the blue counter you see a rusted cast iron flamberge (152 silver), a blackened mithril flamberge (8300 silver) and a vultite twohanded sword (59k).
On the auburn counter you see a hand-crafted ironwood longsword (49.9k), a rusted imflass ball & chain (99k) and a gold streaked rolaren short sword (149k).
On the chartreuse counter you see a heavy glaes longsword (3x - 499k - has a skull on it), a jeweled ora crowbill (8.6k), a heavy glaes morning star (199k) and a heavy glaes main gauche (75k).
Look longsword - The glaes longsword has a ruby-eyed ivory skull mounted upon it. The ivory is mottled brown and green and exudes a foul odor. The cracked teeth with the jaw are set crookedly, but someone took the time to sharpen them to a razor edge. The faceted rubies stuck within the eye sockets seem to follow you when you glance at the skull.
[Weapons of Little Destruction]
Flakes of paint cling to the walls... barely. Several of the wall boards are held together by one or two nails. An extremely long crack runs jaggedly across the floor. You also see a plain old run of the mill chest with some stuff on it, a metal banded wooden chest with some stuff on it, a rectangular wooden chest with some stuff on it, an oblong wooden chest with some stuff on it and a rust-covered door.
Obvious exits: east, up, down
On the run of the mill chest you see a pure white ora shield (99k), a yellowed ora shield (99k), a darkened glaes shield (39k) and a carved solid glaes shield (199k).

[Weapons of Little Destruction]
Crates of all shapes and sizes line two of the four walls. A dark brown tattered curtain hangs loosely from the top of the door frame by several rusty nails. The wood floor is fairly rotted in several places along the floorboard. You also see the Moredine disk, a crushed velvet covered crate with some stuff on it, a half-painted crate with some stuff on it, a holey wooden crate with some stuff on it, a shabby wooden crate with some stuff on it and a small passageway.

[Chavie's Gladiator Hall]
The surrounding walls are covered with detailed murals of legendary epic battles. A chariot wheel, leaning in a corner, is nearly hidden by the broken weapons that are stacked around it. Mannequins, dressed in full gladiator gear, stand ready to do battle with one another. You also see a statue of Chavie Carnage with some stuff on it and a statue of Chavie Bloodlust with some stuff on it.
Obvious exits: out

[Weapons of Little Destruction]
Scattered about this room are pieces of leather, chips of wood and slivers of metal. Centered in the room is a very large bolt of leather. Various hooks line the walls, some with merchandise, some with cobwebs. You also see an iron hook with some stuff on it, a steel hook with some stuff on it, a copper hook with some stuff on it, a brass hook with some stuff on it and a rust-covered door.

[Chavie's Helms and Aventails]
The walls of this cave are seamless and flawless in design. Upon the south wall is a pair of counters. The grey counter, made from stone, has something chiseled into its side.
Obvious exits: southwest
On the grey counter you see a metal jewel encrusted aventail, a solid gold metal hood of mail, a solid silver metal hood of mail and a weathered battle hood of mail. (1.5k each - neck armor)
On the silver counter you see a hunter green leather helm, a midnight blue visored helm, a dark charcoal visored helm and a weathered leather helm. (1.5k each)
a heavy oak-beamed door
[Heavy Handed, Entry]
A broad oak counter has been set opposite the shop's heavy door. Its surface is stacked with twine-tied ledgers and a scattering of dry straw, probably pulled from the many crates and boxes stacked around the display cases in the room. A small note has been pinned to the front of the counter, at dwarven eye-level. You also see a straw-filled open crate.
Obvious exits: northeast, northwest, out
Note reads:
Greetings, customers. Welcome to my shop, which is still being unpacked. I have been putting out my wares slowly but surely -- the clerk will help you with the items currently available for sale. I shall visit during the weekend to sell some special eonake weapons I have been saving for my grand opening.
In the open crate you see a leather-bound drakar-spiked tiger-claw, a narrow-necked vultite-bladed jackblade, a leaf-tooled triple-stitched blackjack, a dusky leather imflass-bladed razorpaw, a hide-wrapped mottled vultite hook-knife, a triple-spiked polished invar yierka-spur and an oval-handled ora-tipped fist-scythe.
[Heavy Handed, Showroom]
A rolled-up rug placed near the entrance to the room provides a small obstacle to the patrons entering and exiting this corner of the shop. A partially empty weapon stand rests near a heavy hide curtain leading further into the shop. A few framed paintings of various mountain landscapes lean against the walls, waiting for someone equipped with wire to suspend them from the reinforcing beams around the edges of the ceiling.
Obvious exits: west, southwest
On the weapon stand you see a long-hafted silver imflass bisacuta, a gold-hilted black vultite zweihander, an ashen-hued beheading sword, a curved-grip ivory glaes oncin and a monir-hafted ebony vultite sabar.
[Heavy Handed, Backroom]
This tiny room is bare of any decoration and immaculately swept. A long mahogany table is the only furniture of note, save a ceiling-high stack of packing crates. Each time a customer purchases the item displayed on the table, the clerk rushes to replace it with a new specimen from the crates. Browsers and purchasers alike make their way in and out of the room via a heavy hide curtains suspended from an oak-framed arch.
Obvious exits: out
On the mahogany table you see a ruby-capped scroll-etched claidhmore (50k).
[Heavy Handed, Showroom]
A rough rectangle of burlap has been spread under the partially empty weapon stand in the center of the room, its surface covered with bits of straw that have fallen from the unpacked weapons. Sealed crates have been neatly stacked in one corner, while another stack of empty ones have been haphazardly piled in another. A clerk occasionally wanders through, adding inventory to the rack and making checks in a small parchment notebook.
Obvious exits: east, southeast
On the weapon stand you see an ashy maroon gornar military flail, a steel-hafted etched zorchar kheten, a dusky red gornar balestarius, an oak-hafted smoky imflass tabar and a serrated polished invar flamberge.
a narrow tunnel
[Barlardi's Supports]
This section of tunnel resembles a forest more than a cavern deep within the mountains, due to the dozens of pole arms propped from floor to ceiling, creating a maze of wooden and metal shafts. Each weapon extends from its rack or stand to pierce its point into the rocky roof above. The haphazard yet obsessive way in which the poles have been positioned reveal more than a subtle degree of paranoia. You also see a narrow tunnel and a wobbly dirt-covered sign.
Obvious exits: none
On the weapons rack you see a thong-flexed vultite shaft sarissa, an ora-banded heavy glaes lance, a thick-hafted black mithril framea, a kelyn-tipped bright imflass warlance, a wire-bound straight invar awl-pike, a whorl-etched spiked vultite korseke, a maple-hafted spiked imflass spetum and a triple-tip mottled glaes runka.
Sign reads:
All these polearms have the strength and enchantments you would expect from the metals seen. I know, I picked 'em out! Be careful fondlin' the buggers though, a few of 'em are load-bearing and keep the entire mountain from crushin' down on us like the fist of Kai. Here's what the ones ya might not recognize are, happy shoppin'! Lances: sarissa, framea, warlance. Awl-Pikes: korseke, spetum, runka. Halberds: falcastra, bardiche, godendag. Spears: harpoon, angon, spontoon.
a rough-hewn oak archway
[Death to Undead]
Dank, chill air pervades the close space of the mine shaft, the crowded feel increased by the random placement and stacking of weapon displays. Rough wooden beams bolted into the walls make a half-hearted attempt to support and hold back the moist, crumbling dirt. You also see a long copper message worm, a wobbly iron stand with some stuff on it and a splintering fel rack with some stuff on it.
Obvious exits: north, east, west, out
On the iron stand you see a rune-carved polished glaes voulge, a burnished vultite beaked axe, a darkly stained tanik jeddart-axe and an etched pale ora jeddart-axe.
On the fel rack you see a sharp glaes khopesh (49k - OHE), a keenly edged vultite warblade (64.5k - OHE), an invar-hafted vultite machete (64.5k - blessable), a well-crafted mithril broad axe, a monir-hafted glaes toporok, an ora-handled glaes espadon, a ruby-pommeled black vultite espadon, an aspen-hilted invar bastard sword and a ruby-hilted black imflass falchion (30k - OHE).
[Death to Undead]
A foot-worn rut runs the length of the hard-packed dirt floor of the passage, ending abruptly at a blockade of weathered wooden planks. Faded with age, a red "X" has been painted on one of the wooden slats crossing the blocked passage. You also see the Nastacia disk, an iron-bound haon strongbox, a stained parchment sign, a rough board shelf with some stuff on it and a rickety wooden table with some stuff on it.
Obvious exits: south
It reads:
Slash-fist = knuckle-blade. Sap and bludgeon = blackjack. Slap-slasher = razorpaw. Slash-jack = jackblade.
On the board shelf you see a black suede ora-studded cestus, a midnight blue vultite-studded cestus, a long-bladed mithril slash-fist, a razor-sharp gleaming ora slash-fist, a sisal-wrapped mithril tiger-claw, a gleaming spiked vultite tiger-claw, a gleaming vultite-bladed troll-claw, a canvas mithril-bound sap, a black leather ora-threaded bludgeon, a brown leather vultite-bladed slap-slasher, a deep black ora-bladed slap-slasher, a stiff-braced gleaming ora troll-claw, a tan leather vultite-edged jackblade and a dark leather ora-bladed slash-jack.
On the wooden table you see a ruby-inset vultite quoit (86k), an emerald-set etched mithril quoit (9k), a glyph-etched vultite discus and a blued invar glaes-edged discus.
[Death to Undead]
The passage ends here, blocked off by rough-hewn wooden boards. Yielding to the heavy dirt and curving downward dangerously, the ceiling beams creak occasionally in protest. The sole source of light in the cramped passage is a single stubby candle flickering on a small table. You also see a three-legged ironwood stand with some stuff on it.
Obvious exits: west
On the ironwood stand you see a sisal-gripped vultite truncheon (8.1k), a solid glaes periperiu, a sturdy vultite goupillon, a heavy smoky glaes binnol, a dark leather vultite-tipped bullwhip (16250 silver), a leather glaes-tipped whip (9.6k), an invar-hafted mithril flanged mace, an iron glaes-spiked mace (5k) and a sharp-spiked vultite knee-breaker (52k).
[Death to Undead]
A rusting iron lantern has been set on a stool in the corner, its meager flame suffering in the damp chill of the air. Occasionally the lantern sputters out completely, briefly drenching the area in a chill blackness, before fighting its way back to life again. You also see a bent iron rack with some stuff on it and some tarnished mithril hooks with some stuff on it.
Obvious exits: east
On the iron rack you see a dark-stained rosewood staff (7.2k), a leather-bound glaes-capped staff, a linden ora-capped quarterstaff, a maoral-hafted vultite bearded axe (85k - 2 hander), a sturdy polished ora tabar, a double-bit glaes kheten, a razor-sharp etched mithril flamberge, an invar-hilted vultite flamberge and a curved glaes flamberge.
On the mithril hooks you see a maoral-hafted glaes maul (40k), a ruby-inlaid vultite sabar, a glyph-etched ora footman's hammer, a finely honed ora bidenhander, an aspen-hilted vultite greatsword and an acid-etched mithril battlesword.
a dark square hole
[Death and Destruction, Entry]
The inside of the spacious cave has been painted a glossy raven black that makes the room appear very gloomy. Two elaborate skull-helmed dwarven statues stand guard by the narrow opening to the west and to the east. Set into the floor are worn-out crimson tiles. A large makeshift sign with the words "Death is the Great Cultivator of Fear - Destruction is the Great Cultivator of Woe" hangs boldly above the openings. You also see a big sign.
Obvious exits: east, west, out
Sign reads:
I will do customized work for my own wares only. Any rare materials must be supplied by you. A nominal fee of 10,000 will be applied. I will be working in the order which you arrive. ~Dawns
[Den of Destruction, Forge]
The three smoky torches that provide light for this part of the cave flicker ominously, making the shadows appear to dance across the floor. Several pails of murky water and scorched forging hammers rest carelessly at the far side of the room. The scent of stale sweat lingering in the air assaults the nose no matter where you stand in the den. In the center of the room, three large anvils rest neatly in a triangular pattern.
Obvious exits: west

I, Joldaf, will perform custom engravings naming your prized weapons. If you need counsel to obtain the best fitting name for your weapon, I will provide consultation as well. Hopefully you will find here an inspiration to courage, training and a testament to the bond between owner and weapon.

a rusted steel arch
[Steel Appeal]
Cold stone and dirt surround this room dripping with condensation from the hearth of the land. A smoky fireplace lights the area and adds a small amount of heat to the otherwise dark and cold area. Small amounts of various metals are stockpiled throughout the area. Carved into several rocks that line the walls are diagrams of various styles of daggers and knives. You also see an old battered iron chest.

[Steel Appeal Workroom]
A giant fire heats this room to an unexpected temperature. A well-used anvil lies strategically positioned by a giant fireplace. Metals that are being worked on line the walls of this secluded cavern. In the corner there is a small rack filled with what appears to be knives that are in the process of being made.
Obvious exits: east
On the small rack you see a razor sharp knife, a scorched piece of vultite and a jagged piece of mithril. (not for sale)
a rough-sawn pine opening
[A Pennant Waves]
Rough-sawn pine beams support the low ceiling of this small, cramped shop. Twisted into the beams are brass hooks which display an assortment of colorful banners. [A Pennant Waves, Hall]
This narrow crystalline passage offers little room for wandering. Accenting a thin fel wood table, light flickers from two tarnished brass sconces, which are mounted on a side wall. A dark woven wool rug, lays across the wood planked floor, quieting the creaky sounds from footsteps. You also see an arched pine door and a thin fel wood table with some stuff on it.

You also see a modwir knife case.

a brightly lit entry arch
[Living Displays, Entry]
Stark, mottled stone enclosing you is becoming an all too familiar sight, and this tunnel deep in the rock does not break from tradition. Hewn by the talented hands and utilitarian vision of the dwarves, the passage is devoid of warm aesthetics and whimsy alike. You also see an exit arch, a fur-covered lumpy counter with some stuff on it and a weapon pincushioned mannequin with some stuff on it.

Spiderweb cracks sprawl along the corridor walls, splitting the stone into a bland mosaic of earthen colors. Scoops of pebbly sand have been dumped in the corners, supporting odd pyramids of crystal that illuminate the area brightly with mysterious means. Hanging on one wall is an assortment of straps and wooden braces. Not an unusual selection of tools unless you also count the leather gags and manacles below. You also see a whimpering propped ogre table with some stuff on it and a balancing bound kobold coatrack with some stuff on it.

[Living Displays, Office]
Dead ending with the suddenness that only a mountain can achieve, the tunnel widens into a room sparsely furnished into a small office. Fissures in the rock ceiling cast an eerie but steady light from enchanted shards of gemstone pressed into the cracks. Three pairs of mounted skulls on one wall hold weapons between their jaws, opposite a cluttered desk and a large chair carved out of granite.

[Thromstal's Workshop of Knives]
Within the chamber, the walls and floor are remarkably smooth and the stone walls are covered with panels of black velvet. Plush carpets cover the floor, their geometric patterns woven in muted tones of black, russet and grey. On the back wall, a huge oak table dominates the area, its top littered with tools and bits of leather and wood. The golden tones of the oak wood stand out like a gem in the subtle color palette. You also see an edge grinder.

a tall triangular opening edged with exposed iron ore
[Ancient Strengths, Entryway]
Overhead, a vein of iron ore streaked with lines of glimmering gold has been exposed in the rock ceiling. In time, the vein will be fully mined away, but, for now, the gold-streaked ore has been polished to a high gleam as it crosses the high-arching chamber. Round brass sconces cradle candles at even intervals around the cavern, and their yellow light gleams off both the exposed iron and the finely worked brass of a small table set near the entrance. You also see an engraved golden mithril plaque and a tall triangular opening edged with exposed iron ore.

[Ancient Strengths, Armaments]
Images of dwarves crafting and using traditional weaponry have been engraved across a massive iron slab leaning against the north wall. Sparkling gems set into the iron represent the leaping flames of the forge, the bright eyes of the dwarves, and the claws and fangs of their lizard foes. Candles set in round sconces shed their warm light around the chamber, and the weaponry arrayed for display all but glows beneath the yellow radiance. Even the grey stone floor has been polished to an impressive gleam. All - earth flares
[Ancient Strengths, Faith]
Two passages come from the east to join in this large cavern chamber. Between the passages, a carved stone stairway slopes down into the depths of the earth, and waves of heat accompanied by a ruddy glow come from that direction. The scarlet light shimmers off a candle-adorned iron altar set against the western wall, highlighting the magnificent gem inlay on the altar's nearest face. Wearing brown wool robes and bearing the symbols of their faith, several dwarven acolytes quietly carry out their duties. You also see an elegantly wrought copper-traced black iron rack with some stuff on it.

[Ancient Strengths, Defenses]
Candlelight spills from round brass sconces set on slim poles to illuminate the chamber, glimmering off the exposed surface of a vein of iron ore running through the ceiling and along the southern wall. Symbols of the various dwarven clans have been painted in many colors along the supporting haon timbers. Only a few streaks of rock dust darken the grey stone floor, and the anvil-crested banner pinned along the southern wall is spotlessly clean. You also see an etched gold sign, a bejeweled mithril shield rack with some stuff on it, a carved ironwood shield rack with some stuff on it, a polished pale marble shield rack with some stuff on it and an ornate invar shield rack with some stuff on it.

[Volthur's Mixed Blessings]
The floor of this cavern is so littered with crates and boxes that it is difficult to walk through without bruising a thigh or stubbing a toe. The majority of the boxes are still tightly sealed -- some labeled with large skulls and crossbones, others marked with messily-written dwarven runes. One particularly large invar crate sits open beside a carved mithril trunk, and a wide ironwood table rests against the far wall.

Your mace seems to leap into the air of its own volition as you raise it in a gesture of triumph!
You tap the end of your crimson vultite mace against the ground.
On the ironwood table you see a slender black mithril lance, an enruned ice blue vultite halberd, a silver-veined pure white ora Hammer of Kai, a slender red imflass awl-pike and a leaf-bladed dark blue glaes spear.
[Volthur's Mixed Blessings]
The walls in this part of the cavern consist mainly of polished granite, though veins of some silvery-blue ore run through them. Below several low-burning torches, two carved shelves, one of granite and one of marble, are set at just about eye level for a dwarf. Resting against the side of the stalagmite to the south is a large iron-banded oak keg upon which rests a small note that reads, "Dwarven Holy Water - Free!" Next to the keg is a small ironwood cask labeled, "The Good Stuff - 500 coins!"
Obvious exits: southeast, southwest
On the oak keg you see a mug of dark brown dwarven ale, some pale golden honey mead, a shot of strong dwarven whiskey, a tall glass of pale golden beer and a shot of black dwarven rum. (free)

a splintering wooden arch
[Trollhunter]
Torches crackle in the hammered mithril sconces bolted into hard-packed dirt walls, lending a warm orange glow to the area. Rotting wooden beams hold the surrounding dirt at bay, occasionally creaking in protest. On one wall, an artist has carved an amateurish rendition of a troll, over which an 'X' has been carved even more deeply in the earth. You also see a linden shelf and an ale-stained parchment sign.

Crystal Level
a cut crystal arch
[Dirty Digs]

One wall is covered with fissures of various sizes, some with muck in them and another with a bit of air coming out of it. The floor is covered with a bedraggled rolton throw rug, black with dirt and mud. a low stone archway
[Signal Center]
Blast marks char the irregularly shaped walls of this small cave. A dark, granular powder crunches underfoot. A selection of fuses, tied in bundles by length, decorates the least fractured of the four walls. You also see a battered steel counter with some stuff on it, a blackened steel chest, a low stone archway and a color chart.
Obvious exits: east
On the steel counter you see a blue-banded steel rock thumper, a yellow-tipped steel rock thumper, a green-banded steel rock thumper, a purple-edged steel rock thumper, an orange-dyed steel rock thumper and a red-banded steel rock thumper. (25k each)
In the steel chest you see a gold-striped steel rock thumper, a silver-tipped steel rock thumper, a brown-banded steel rock thumper, a grey-striped steel rock thumper, a white-edged steel rock thumper and a black-banded steel rock thumper. (25k each)
Show - The sleek metal surface of this pointed cylinder is marred at one end with hundreds of tiny barbs. A short fuse sticks out of the other end, and through the little hole you can make out some kind of heavy mechanism. It appears to have six separate segments.
Light - You remove one segment of your steel rock thumper, light the fuse, and toss it to the ground. The thumper shakes, slightly at first, and then with greater and greater force as it works its way into the ground, finally vanishing from sight.
A rhythmic, four-beat tattoo rises from the ground, shaking your spine.
The repeating pattern of four beats continues to pound the earth.
The earth falls back into stillness.

a silver-veined invar arch
[Echoes]
Lengths of threadbare cotton, fine velvet, wool, and greasy rat fur have been strung between the long stalactites, forming impromptu hammocks to support the well-polished musical instruments on display. Beneath the fabrics, a variety of instrument cases has been arranged atop three splintery oak crates. A cheery young dwarven woman leans against the wall, expertly playing some begemmed mithril-chantered bagpipes while she keeps an eye on her customers. Her jaunty music vibrates through the rock. [Echoes]
Bumpy green lichen clings to the ceiling, but its faint, eerie luminescence is almost completely overwhelmed by the flickering yellow light blazing from several mithril-framed lanterns. A wide invar shelf piled high with sheet music rests across from a small forest of music stands, which are arranged for best effect upon a low table. Bored with the monotony of tending shop, a young dwarven boy sits on a box and teases his pet rat.

[Echoes]
Racks hung with cloaks and shawls line the chamber, positioned close enough to the mithril-framed lanterns to be properly illuminated. Smooth stalactites cast long shadows everywhere, but any hint of gloom is warded off by the large, round rug that covers the floor with concentric rainbow colors. A large mirror flanked by two lanterns reflects every motion in triplicate -- a spiderwebbing pattern of cracks divides the glass into three. You also see a dark invar ladder leading down through a hole in the floor and a small golden sign.

[Echoes]
Glowing yellow mushroom light shimmers through the crystal decanters arrayed behind the low ironwood bar. A fringed violet kerchief binds back the hair of the buxom dwarven barkeep, and her dark chestnut tresses match the hue of the tawny port. Obvious exits: north

In the glass case you see an onyx-hafted eonake mace and a wickedly curved eonake scythe. (140k each from Pebin only)

Empty glass pens lean against one another in the corner, ready for future use.
Obvious exits: south, west

Obvious exits: east
Sign reads: My message worms are a necessity for any well-organized commanding officer. Once they learn your scent, they may be safely handed off to another officer or soldier. Each worm is capable of remembering and repeating short messages, and will deliver them with speed when prodded to do so. They feed on rock and are cheap to maintain, though they will not live forever. Use them wisely, and the battle will be yours! ~ Loli

Two dwarven mannequins, one carefully posed while the other carelessly faces the wall, sit silently in the center of this hollowed out chamber. a large invar-banded door with a horned helmet etched upon its surface
[Zigiluk's Helmery, Main Cavern]
Illuminated by dozens of low-burning torches, the granite walls of this wide cavern are so finely smoothed and polished that it is difficult to believe they were carved by mortal hands. A small subterranean lake is visible to the northeast, its far end lost in the gloom. Two tunnels exit this main chamber to the east and west and a short carved granite doorway is set into the far wall. The center of the room is dominated by a large marble table, a carved mithril trunk, and an iron-banded oak chest.
Obvious exits: east, west, out
In the mithril trunk you see a dragon-etched crimson mithril greathelm, a silver-spiked plumed mithril greathelm, a darkened mithril battle helmet, an ornately sculpted invar burgonet, a wool-lined silvery ora sallet, a gold-etched black invar sallet, an ebon-hued winged ora warhelm, a visored dark green ora sallet, a plumed deep violet ora heaume, a horned invar warhelm, a silver-etched ancient invar bascinet, a visored pale white invar greathelm, a felt-lined blue mithril morion, a boar-tusked black mithril helm and a spiked golden ora burgonet.
In the oak chest you see a fur-trimmed black iron burgonet, an iron-banded hammered bronze heaume, a gilded bronze burgonet, a horned blued steel helmet, a dented rusty iron warhelm, a simple dark blue steel helmet, a heavy iron war helm, a gold-edged silvery steel bascinet, a dented bronze sallet, an iron-spiked deep crimson morion, a simple conical steel helmet, a wide-brimmed dark iron morion, a ceremonial enruned bronze sallet, a gold-trimmed ridged steel bascinet and a drake-winged polished steel burgonet.
[Zigiluk's Helmery, East Tunnel]
The walls of this tunnel are smooth and polished, as if eroded by flowing water over the course of countless years. Only an occasional tiny nick or scratch betray the walls' true origin and attest to their fine dwarven craftsmanship. Broken stalactites and other miscellaneous rubble from a collapsed ceiling block the end of the tunnel. A large steel chest and a large iron trunk rest against the rubble and a tall mithril rack stands in the middle of the tunnel.
Obvious exits: west
In the steel chest you see an enruned green imflass casque, a badly-dented mithril bucket helm, an opal-inlaid mithril mesh coif, an ivory-horned pale mithril casque, a green ora pot-shaped helm, a steel-spiked brimmed ora casque, a crystal-inset dark blue ora coif, a velvet-lined blue imflass coif, a winged imflass casque and a silver-blue imflass mesh coif.

[Zigiluk's Helmery, West Tunnel]
This tunnel ends quite abruptly, further passage blocked by a sturdy iron-banded oak door. Judging by the thick coat of rust on the door's lock and hinges, it is likely that this barrier has been here for quite some time. Pushed up against the base of the door is a heavy-looking granite counter resting atop two tall iron anvils. Just in front of the counter are a gilded steel strongbox and simple mithril coffer.

all shields hold a weapon - see below:
[Harness Works, Entry]
Cloudy yellow crystal shards hang from the ceiling, requiring even the shortest of patrons to stoop. Rows of dusty iron racks display a variety of defensive wares which have been set out in no particular order of style or color. A burly dwarven man, covered in soot from head to toe, wanders in from the back carrying a stack of newly forged metal shields.
Obvious exits: east, out
On the iron rack you see a cross-gilt silver tower shield (85k), a leaf-embossed glaes target shield (65k), a gold-chased enruned mithril heater (10.5k), an embossed ice-blue glaes buckler (25k), an iron-rimmed mithglin scutum (33k) and a dwarven steel defender shield (85k).
[Harness Works, Warren]
Overcrowded with metal scraps, barrels of leather, and wooden crates, this room provides a narrow passage to a small, round door in the rear that is almost completely hidden amidst the clutter. The smell of soot and burning coals permeates this passage, as smoke drifts in from beneath the door. You also see a set of wooden hooks with some stuff on it.
Obvious exits: west
On the wooden hooks you see a heavy steel tower shield (85k - weighs 10), a stout mithglin aegis (33k), an embossed ice-white glaes buckler (25k), a silvery mithril scutum (10.5k), a battered golden imflass targe (65k) and an enameled emerald wall shield (85k).
You unbuckle the oiled leather harness of your shield. Carefully, you slide your falchion into the webbing, and then cinch it tightly.
Look shield:
On the reverse of the shield, a complex webbing of oiled leather straps and polished buckles forms an intricate arm harness. The straps are arranged in a pattern that appears able to secure a weapon within.
Stuck diagonally through the complex webbing is a sharp vultite falchion.
[Harness Works, Backroom]
An oversized black furnace billows smoke from a well-stoked fire. In the center of the room, several forging hammers and tongs rest upon a soot-covered table. A bearded dwarf, oblivious to anyone entering the room, pounds furiously against some glowing metal at the anvil. You also see a Hanist list, a small round door and an important placard.

On the teak table you see a deep ruby engraved wall shield (42k), a deep onyx and silver kite shield (30k) and an ebony trimmed small shield (30k).
[Alyrka's Outfitting]

The floor is covered with colorful silk rugs fringed with gold threads. You also see a large cut crystal chest and a set of maoral hooks with some stuff on it.
Obvious exits: north, south
In the cut crystal chest you see some golden engraved plate (115k) and a burnished drake-etched breastplate (110k).
On the maoral hooks you see some blood red ruby-inset leathers (80k - double), a set of green studded leathers (115k) and some deep black onyx-imbedded leather (58k - light).
[Alyrka's Outfitting]
The crystal sconces bounce light across the crystal-covered walls in this room, wherever the walls aren't covered with brilliant tapestries. The floor is covered by a thick, deep blue dyed rolton fur rug atop of which are neatly arranged chairs and couches. You also see a weapon rack with some stuff on it and a weapon rack with some stuff on it.

a wooden sign nailed above a narrow opening
[Narrow Tunnel]
Judging by the iron tracks running along the floor, this poorly lit tunnel is primarily used by a small supply cart. Guttering torches cast their orange radiance over the dark grey rocks, shimmering here and there off the reflective surfaces of quartz inclusions, although none of the crystals are large enough to be worth the trouble of harvesting them. Various niches, crannies, and ledges along the rock wall have been pressed into service to hold pair after pair of heavy dwarven boots. You also see a rubble barrier to the northwest, a grinning dwarven sales clerk, a boot-shaped wooden sign and a narrow opening.
Obvious exits: northwest, southeast
Sign reads:
STOMPERS!
Keep yer feet warm an yer toes safe.
In the shallow niche you see some diamond tooled leather boots (3k), some stained warthog hide boots (2k), some rugged spike-soled boots (3k), some bejeweled mithril-plated boots (5k) and some fur-lined quilted brown boots (3k).
In the crooked cranny you see some pink siren lizard hide boots (3k), some glaes-toed umber ora boots (5k), some mushroom engraved invar workboots (5k), some ora-toed shaggy fur boots (4k) and some polished vultite-toed boots (5k).
On the rock ledge you see some iron-toed heavy mining boots (5k), some dark green mithglin-plated workboots (5k), some white fur-and-hide boots (3k), some red mud-stained boots (2k), some striped skunk hide boots (3k) and some handsome bear hide boots (3k).
All - pocketed, holds a very small amount, weighs 5, stuck open
Scripted:
Rub - You spit into the palm of your hand before giving your bear hide boots a good shining. That's better!
Tap - You knock your bear hide boots against each other in turn and manage to dislodge some of the mud and dust clinging to your heels. That's good.
Pull - You pull at the top of each of your bear hide boots in turn, ensuring that the boots are firmly on your feet.
Push - You wriggle your toes inside your bear hide boots, checking the fit. The boots are too large and heavy to really be comfortable, but they're certainly sturdy. (So are stone trolls, but you wouldn't want one of those on your feet, either!)
Wave - You stick one foot out so everyone can admire your bear hide boots. Maybe they'll be jealous.
Kick - You kick up your heels and do a little jig! It's a bit awkward in the heavy boots, but you manage anyway.
[Narrow Tunnel]
Torchlight falling from the northwest casts a flickering orange glow over the rocky surroundings. A makeshift rubble barrier prevents anyone from following the sloping tunnel down past the range of the torchlight, though the iron rails running down the tunnel indicate that a small supply cart normally travels this path. The poor light seems to be adversely affecting the dwarven sales clerk, who seems more than half asleep as he squints blearily over the boot-filled nooks, ledges, and niches. You also see a boot-shaped wooden sign.
Obvious exits: northwest, southeast
Sign reads:
MORE STOMPERS!
Good dwarven make for good dwarven folk.
Ye kint never have enuf Stompers!
In the flat-bottomed nook you see some ogre tooth-buckled boots (3k), some coppery snakeskin boots (3k), some black bronze-trimmed boots (4k), some oily grey leather workboots (4k) and some ochre silver-buckled boots (3k).

All - pocketed, holds a very small amount, weighs 5 (except as marked)
a steel door
[Wicked Weapons]
The unfinished room looks more like a haven for scrap metal then it does a shop. Large pieces of different metals lean up against the walls, their sharp edges waiting for an accident to happen. Crates filled with broken swords, half finished guards, and unraveling leather pommels fill most of the remaining empty space. You also see a steel table with some stuff on it and a wooden sign.
Obvious exits: east, out
Sign reads:
A langsax is basically crafted like a longsword with a few minor differences in appearance. The icey blue longsword has cold crits. The blood red langsax has heat crits. The deeply grooved langsax has acid crits. The warblades are constructed like a falchion would be. All the warblades have steam crits. All weapons are slightly lighter than normal and are enchanted four times.
On the steel table you see an invar-edged black vultite warblade (183k - 4x, steam crits, weighs 4), a curved black pearl-inlaid warblade (183k), an icy blue dwarven-crafted longsword (105k), a blood red rune-etched langsax (132k) and a burnished deeply grooved langsax (138k, 80/200).
[Wicked Weapons]
Piled in one corner are a variety of stuffed animal heads. On the walls nails protrude where the heads are supposed to go. A rusted forge rests in the corner collecting dust. A couple rickety chairs are scattered throughout the room, though completely unsafe to sit in. You also see a wooden sign and a steel table with some stuff on it.
Obvious exits: east, west
Sign reads:
All weapons in here are enchanted four times and have electricity crits.
On the steel table you see a double-edged black vultite warsword (244k), an invar-spiked ironwood war club (24230 silver), a black invar-edged battleaxe (235k), an onyx-gripped vultite-banded greataxe (235k) and a jewel-capped ironwood staff (29k).
a large invar-clad door with polished brass trim
[Pure Protection, Shields]
This room lends itself well to its purpose as a showcase for shields. Invar hooks have been inserted into the walls about a dwarf's reach up from the floor, and each hook bears a magnificent shield demanding attention, if not admiration. Groups of revelers stand near each shield looking it over carefully. A stocky dwarf with a wary expression on his face stands to one side of the chamber silently looking over the customers.
Obvious exits: east, west, out
On the invar hooks you see a gold-rimmed green vultite shield, a raven-crested black vultite shield, an invar-edged crimson vultite shield, a bear-crested imflass shield, a copper-edged blued mithril shield, a rolaren-edged embossed invar shield and a brass-spiked banded steel shield.
[Pure Protection, Armor]
As well suited to the display of armor as the outer room is to the display of shields, this area boasts a number of handsomely bearded dwarven mannequins, each bedecked in well-crafted armor. Invar-plated oil lamps provide a soft light, showing off the polished metal to best advantage. To one side is a deep, still pool that reflects the low ceiling and the glow of the lamps. From the darkness beyond it comes the faint sound of water trickling over rock, but nothing disturbs the surface of this pool. You also see a hand-lettered sign and an armor list.
Obvious exits: west
Sign reads:
These exkissite armors ain't seen the hand o' no magicker. They be about as magick as the day the metal come out o' the ground.
List reads:
The invar armor is brigandine; the chain mail is chain mail (no surprise there!); the mithril link chain is augmented chain; the fur-trimmed breastplate is a metal breastplate; the other breastplates are augmented breastplates; the half plate is (guess what!?) half plate; and the plate is full plate.
On the dwarven mannequins you see some invar-gilded armor, some green mithril chain mail, some red vultite chain mail, some gleaming mithril link chain, a fur-trimmed black vultite breastplate, a blued steel breastplate, some crimson vultite half plate, a sculpted golden breastplate, a hammered invar breastplate, a ruby-studded etched imflass breastplate and some ruby-edged dark vultite plate.
[Pure Protection, Small Stuff]
The walls in this small cavern are precisely chiseled, and the ceiling is supported with thick modwir beams trimmed with twisting strands of polished invar. A single set of long modwir shelves, edged with the same invar trim, stretches across the center of the room, accessible from both sides. Mounted on poles at each corner of the display, large oil lamps with gem-studded shades illuminate the wares for sale here. You also see an invar-edged modwir display case.
Obvious exits: east
On the modwir shelves you see a sculpted golden helmet (1.5k), an ornately engraved bronze helmet (1.5k), a horned invar helmet (5k), a hammered invar helmet (5k), a fur-trimmed round steel helmet (1.5k), some hammered invar leg greaves, some hammered invar arm greaves, a pair of black fur-trimmed arm greaves, a pair of black fur-trimmed leg greaves and a pair of mithril-banded gauntlets.

a glaes-studded arched thanot door
[Dagnus' Depot, Armor]
Deep sienna sandstone walls feature little pockets of glassy black obsidian and stripings of greenschist, clear signs of the extreme volcanic pressures of the past, and the resultant metamorphosizing of the surrounding matter. The surfaces of the stones have been carefully polished to remove any knife-sharp edges that could easily score garment and flesh alike. You also see a long thanot armor stand with some stuff on it and a huge oak helmet barrel.
Obvious exits: southeast, southwest, out
On the thanot armor stand you see some buckled grey vultite plate and some studded black rolaren plate.
In the oak helmet barrel you see a gold-riveted hammered steel cabasset, an ora-crested mithril boar helmet, an iridescent glaes-winged helm, a hammered gold barbute helm and a silver-link camailed helm.
[Dagnus' Depot, Armor]
A portion of the dark sandstone has been carved into a bas-relief illustrating all the Dwarven clans, the raised surface polished to a glossy sheen and creating a nice play of light paired with the texture of the surrounding dull channels. Skillfully applied enamels add even more depth to the pictorama that threatens to overshadow the fine wares displayed here. You also see a round modwir armor stand with some stuff on it and a small fel neckguard chest.
Obvious exits: northwest
On the modwir armor stand you see a gold-traced silver mithril breastplate, a veniom-veined blackened invar breastplate, a single-linked rolaren hauberk and a double-linked invar hauberk.
In the fel neckguard chest you see a rolled mithril mesh neckguard, a riveted black plated gorget, a double-linked heavy silver aventail and a single-linked long gold aventail.
[Dagnus' Depot, Armor]
The reddish hue of the sandstone adds a very warm glow this room, aided only by dimly lit sconces. Interestingly, this only makes the various metals and gems displayed on the wares seem to gleam and sparkle more brightly. You also see a large fel armor stand with some stuff on it and a set of thanot shield hooks with some stuff on it.
Obvious exits: northeast
On the fel armor stand you see some tooled brigandine armor, some riveted brigandine armor, some ruby-set white double leather (25k) and some onyx-set grey double leather (25k).

[The Corselet, Dressing Room]
Although designed for privacy while changing clothes, the room is quite spacious. A large beveled mirror hangs on the wall opposite a padded oak bench. You also see a small wooden table with some stuff on it and a crimson velvet curtain.
Obvious exits: none
On the wooden table you see some honeyed heather ale, a barbecued cockatrice wing and some braised rolton ribs. (free)
a wood marquee with a sign hanging from it
[Shield Shed, Entry]
At first glance, the dim shop seems a bit dreary and dingy. Rustic wooden beams support the ceiling, and the grey stone walls are drab. No decorations alleviate the monotony. As your eyes slowly adjust to the low light, you see that the shop is filled with shields of all sizes and types.
Obvious exits: north, northeast, northwest, out
[Shield Shed, Cranny]
This part of the shop is little more than a wide crack. Shields are crammed into the cramped space, allowing scant room to move about. A lone, dented lantern provides negligible illumination. You also see a wide ledge with some stuff on it and a shallow fissure.
Obvious exits: northwest, southwest
On the wide ledge you see an owl-etched mithglin kite shield, a brass-studded mithglin buckler, a rolaren-bound dark mithglin targe and a latten-edged mithglin heater.
In the shallow fissure you see an invar-bound imflass heater, a silver-edged imflass tower shield, an eonake studded imflass buckler and a gold-trimmed blue imflass shield.
[Shield Shed, Nook]
A lone flickering torch is set into the wall of this low ceilinged nook. Shields are piled wherever there is space available, and shoppers have to squeeze through to get a look at the wares. A low wooden doorway in the back leads to a small alcove. You also see a rickety wood rack with some stuff on it, a warped wooden shelf with some stuff on it and a spindly stand with some stuff on it.
Obvious exits: south, southeast, southwest
On the wood rack you see a brass-studded vultite kite shield, a latten-edged silvery vultite pavis, a gleaming vultite kite shield and an eonake-edged vultite tower shield.
On the wooden shelf you see an embossed golden vultite heater, an ora-banded grey vultite shield, an eagle-etched vultite heater and an invar-bound blued vultite shield.
On the spindly stand you see a brass-trimmed shiny vultite buckler, a spiked vultite target shield, a mithglin studded vultite targe and a rolaren studded vultite buckler.
[Shield Shed, Recess]
The stone wall of the tunnel curves into a small recess in this part of the shop. A splintered beam hangs low overhead, causing taller patrons to have to stoop as they walk around. Yet more shields are displayed in the confined space, as a spluttering torch sends shifting light over the area. You also see a rough wooden shelf with some stuff on it and a dark splintered post with some stuff on it.
Obvious exits: northeast, southeast
On the wooden shelf you see an anvil-etched mithril pavis, an imflass studded mithril shield, a spiked mithril targe and an ora-banded mithril heater.

a rough-hewn wooden arch
[Dwarfwear, Front Room]
Thin wooden walls section off the dimly lit interior of the shop and lead to a narrow corridor that snakes out of sight. Both sides of this section are lined with armor, ranging from inexpensive padded gambesons to decorative golden coinmail. A doorway squats opposite the entrance, roughly hewn from the planking of the wall. You also see a mithril shelf with some stuff on it, an invar shelf with some stuff on it, an iron shelf with some stuff on it and a doorway.
Obvious exits: out
On the mithril shelf you see a set of thick mithril ring armor, a coat of battered ora splintmail, a set of gold dwarven coinmail, a burnished imflass suit of plates, some reinforced glaes-plated brigandine and a black velvet suit of plates.
On the invar shelf you see a light mithril-chased jerkin, a set of dark mottled brown hunts (25k - double) and some mottled grey fighting leathers (81k - double, weighs 15).
On the iron shelf you see a thickly padded cotton tunic, a quilted ora threaded cotton jack (8k) and a vultite threaded satin robe.
[Dwarfwear, Back Room]
Two sturdy shelves gleam with polished metal under the single lamp that hangs in the center of the room. The same thin panelling that makes up the rest of the shop persists here, except for the wall the shelves rest on. Solid, heavy fel holds them and presents a black, light-absorbing backdrop to the armors displayed for perusal. You also see a golvern shelf with some stuff on it, a glaes shelf with some stuff on it and a doorway.
Obvious exits: none
On the golvern shelf you see a fluted silver augmented breastplate, some fine ora ribbed half plate, a finely etched black glaes cuirass and a set of sturdy dwarven vultite platemail.

a vultite door
[Daregg's Daggers]
An impressive collection of daggers, knives, and other small blades can be viewed in the glass cases and counters filling this room. Some of the weapons look rather mundane, while others look quite fancy. They all look adequately sharp, however. You also see a raffle table with some stuff on it and a vultite door.
Obvious exits: none
In the glass case you see a fork-tipped golden dagger (10k), a thick bladed dwarven-crafted dagger (10k), a pitted dark invar knife (1.3k), a ruby-inset silver dagger (5k) and a curved amber-hilted dagger (2.5k).
In the glass counter you see a sun-glyphed rolaren dagger (20k), an iridescent glass-hilted dagger (20k), a wyrm-hilted black invar dagger (2k), a badly pitted grey steel dagger (25k), a wavy translucent knife (4k) and a sturdy rolaren dagger (8k - 38/260).
a jagged entrance
[Shield Works, Entrance Chamber]
Several faded banners depicting images of assorted beasts and symbols hang limply from the uneven walls, evidencing the lack of air currents here. A humongous wooden shield, covered with boiled leather and painted with colorful armorial bearings, indicates the type of equipment one might find for sale inside. A small plaque engraved with silvery inscription has been affixed at dwarven eye-level. You also see a smooth-topped granite table with some stuff on it.
Obvious exits: north, out
On the granite table you see a stein of golden dwarven ale, a slice of glazed roasted velnalin, a handful of salted almonds and a tankard of dark wheat stout. (free)
Plaque reads:
~ Shield Works, A Quality Establishment - Not just "plain" shields, try one and see ~
[Shield Works, Northern Chamber]
A large, tattered tapestry depicting a battlefield scene, banners and flags hoisted high, is the only attempt at decoration in this rectangular chamber. Below the tapestry, displayed on rather unappealing fashion, are shields of various forms and artistry. You also see an iron-banded trunk and a makeshift plank table with some stuff on it.
Obvious exits: south, east
In the iron-banded trunk you see a razern-edged vultite tower shield, a sejan griffin crested vultite buckler, a battle-worn dark vultite buckler, a latten-edged vultite kite shield, a wyvern-etched silver vultite buckler and an enamelled vair vultite shield. (65k each)
On the makeshift plank table you see a contoured or vultite kite shield, a sigil-incised vultite war buckler, a curved-edge vultite war buckler, an invar-banded vultite wall shield and a rhimar-spiked black vultite shield. (65k each)
Scripted:
You slide your black vultite shield deftly over one shoulder and it settles comfortably into place.
In one brisk move, you slide a rhimar-spiked black vultite shield off your shoulder and it settles into perfectly into your grip, as if made for only you.
You rest the edge of your black vultite shield on the ground and lean into it, letting it carry your weight.
You drum your fingers along the top edge of your black vultite shield.
You raise your black vultite shield in a gesture of triumph!
You turn your shield momentarily away from your body in a feint.
You hold your black vultite shield firmly in front of you.
You pull in your black vultite shield, shielding your body.
[Shield Works, Small Chamber]
The small backroom of the cavern is just roomy enough to accommodate a handful of people at a time. This did not deter the enterprising merchant from using a big portion of the chamber to display more of his wares. You also see a large flat rock with some stuff on it and a rusty wheelbarrow.
Obvious exits: west
On the large flat rock you see a mithril-edged vaalorn lozenge shield, a battle-worn enruned vaalorn heater, a sigil-incised dark vaalorn heater and a latten-edged vaalorn wall shield. (52k each)

a rusty iron trapdoor in the middle of the shaft's floor
[Adventurers' Arms and Armor]
Illuminated by several low-burning torches, this small cavern is completely empty with the exception of several sealed crates. Eight tunnels exit the cavern and a carved granite ladder leads up to a trap door in the ceiling. You also see a small invar plaque.
Obvious exits: north, south, east, west, northeast, northwest, southeast, southwest
Plaque reads:
"Each of the eight caverns in this shop are dedicated to one of the eight adventuring professions of the lands. Of course, anyone can wear anything in any of the caves, but I'd reckon that a warrior would look pretty silly in robes and sandals, eh?" It is signed, "Dwerin Mountainaxe."
[Adventurers' Arms and Armor]
The walls of this cavern are painted in colors reminiscent of a forest; deep greens and dark browns blend together with lighter hues of russet and crimson. Several slender stalagmites are capped with a mesh of dark green ore inset with sparkling emerald leaves. If not for the lack of wildlife and the cold stone floor, one might mistake this cavern for a forest glade. Standing beside one of the stalagmite-trees are a forest green mannequin, a sage green mannequin and a hunter green mannequin.
Obvious exits: south
On the sage green mannequin you see some dark brown leather walking boots, some faded brown doeskin trousers, a studded black leather sword belt, some brown and dark green brigandine and a slightly curving rolaren cutlass.
On the forest green mannequin you see a slender black imflass greatsword, some camouflage leather scale mail and a flowing dark green velvet cape.

a curtain of colorful stalactites

a small crack
[Drelnt's Leathers, Entry]
Littered with bits of leather and hide, the shop smells rather strongly of tanning materials. Thick oak beams shore the crumbling dirt walls, adorned only by a rusted oil lamp hanging from the ceiling. A large armor rack is nestled against the cold dirt wall. You also see a wide modwir bench.

a burnished steel arched entry
[Independent Wears, Crux]
Hewn into a large oval, the tunnel entryway of this shop spokes out in every direction into private shopping areas. Slender, polished symbols hammered out of silver hang from the rock above, each representing a Goddess from the Liabo or Lornon pantheon. A solitary circular table in the center of the room -- a modest but flow-enhancing furnishing -- bears a large "Sale!" note and an assortment of the daily specials. You also see a burnished steel arched exit and an unmistakable massive WARNING sign.
It reads:
All the armors sold in my shop here are specially fitted for the female contours. NONE of them can be worn by males of any race (even skinny ones). ~Madam Drawtha~

[Independent Wears, North]
Dazzling strings of glowing golden beads drape in maze-like overlapping patterns around the smoothed rock walls, bringing a shadowless illusion of sunlight to the cavern shop. [Independent Wears, East]
Almost resembling a child's rumpus room, the chaotic admixture of disarray and untidiness make this corner of the shop stand out as different than the others. Frosted globes of off-white glaes cast a pale, almost lunar, light upon the area, though every few moments one of them flickers blue. An upside-down table is piled with armaments for sale, and a glass-fronted case scratched with crude dancing spirit wisps is open from the top.
Obvious exits: west

[Independent Wears, South]
Darker than the other stone wings of the cavern shop, the lighting is so subtle that it appears to emanate from the very items for sale. Fat strips of woven leather cover the floor, padding the walk in front of an open black modwir case and a long counter edged with urglaes fixtures. The warm ambiance of the rest of the shop is only paces away, yet seems distant from within the shadowy chill.
Obvious exits: north

The armors within have some interesting characteristics. Carefully look at them and you will see. Should you desire, you can change the look of the right pauldron, a good slap always worked to change things. a low arch
[Armor Accoutrements, Entry]
Narrow panels of finely woven wool suspended from the reinforcing beams overhead do little to hide the rough packed walls of this small room. The ceiling is set so low that only the shortest patrons can browse the wares without stooping. The low arch that provides entry to the shop stands opposite a tall stand peppered with helms of various sorts. Two passageways, leading deeper into the shop, flank the stand. You also see a low arch.
Obvious exits: northeast, northwest
On the tall stand you see a skayl-tooled leather helm, a violet-plumed steel armet, a scrollworked silver bascinet, a brass-inlaid eagle-crested burgonet, a hammered polished copper casque and a ceremonial open-worked ora sallet.
[Armor Accoutrements, Side Room]
A sheet of solid rock forms one wall of this showroom, its craggy surface a stark contrast to the smoothed and packed dirt on the facing walls. Spikes of iron have been driven into the stone to allow the suspension of colorful wool panels, lending a bit of warmth to the otherwise cool atmosphere. A large stand covered with greaves takes up the wall opposite the passageway to the main area of the shop. A densely woven rug of burgundy, navy, and gold pattern decorates the floor.
Obvious exits: southwest
On the large stand you see some etched blued steel arm greaves, some etched blued steel leg greaves, some feather etched arm greaves, some feather etched leg greaves, some etched silver arm greaves, some etched silver leg greaves, some hammered copper arm greaves, some hammered copper leg greaves, some ceremonial ora leg greaves and some ceremonial ora arm greaves.
[Armor Accoutrements, Side Room]
A wall of rock, too dense to hollow out further, forms two walls of this showroom, creating a rough triangular shape that makes the viewing of wares for sale on a large stand difficult. The crowd shuffles in an oval formation, allowing each patron a chance to make their way in front of the stand and purchase an aventail, if they find one to their liking. Those having difficulty making a decision are forced to make their way through the odd dance multiple times.
Obvious exits: southeast
On the large stand you see a hammered polished copper aventail, a scrollworked silver aventail, a violet-etched steel aventail, a brass-trimmed feather-etched torc, a flame-etched blued steel torc and a ceremonial open-worked ora aventail.
a low mithril-framed arch
[Brews of the Ages]
Luminescent yellowish-white mushrooms shed a soft, peaceful light through the chamber, which glitters softly across the surface of small glass flasks arrayed in militantly straight rows atop some mithril shelves. Embroidered green leaves border the fringed white rug covering the floor, and a similar motif adorns the edges of a portrait hanging on the wall. A low three-legged stool and a desk occupy one corner for the convenience of the aproned dwarven clerk watching over the store. You also see a low mithril-framed arch.

some massive blue mithril doors
[Physicians' Refuge]
Although slightly uneven, the grey stone floor is impeccably clean, and the cavern is well-lit. Thick piles of shaggy, slightly matted furs surround a low counter in the center of the cavern, which supports two basins. Steam rises from the basin to the left, while a fine layer of ice has formed in the other. A young dwarf dressed in an oversized linen smock watches over the basins and a linen-draped mithril shelf, looking anxiously up at the blue mithril doors whenever anyone arrives.
Obvious exits: north, east, northeast
In the steaming basin you see some steaming hot herbal water (free) and a lump of red-speckled drakar. (not for sale)
In the ice-lined basin you see some clear ice-cold spring water (free) and a lump of pale blue rhimar (not for sale).

Scripted:
Rub - You run your thumb lightly over the central sigil engraved on the snail shell charm, hoping to draw forth some of the charm's protective magic.
[Physicians' Refuge]
A colossal ironwood-framed mirror stands against the northeastern wall, but reaching the mirror is made difficult by a rack of protective jackets placed directly in the way. Across from the jackets, mithril hooks support several suits of reinforced leather, some of which are large enough for giantmen, and some of which are small enough to fit only halflings or children. Since the hooks all jut from the wall at a level convenient to dwarves, most of the leathers' legs are neatly folded upon the ground. You also see an engraved ironwood trunk, a square invar-legged table with some stuff on it and an elegant white sign.
Obvious exits: east, northeast, southwest
On the mithril hooks you see some reinforced lichen green leather (75k), some reinforced red-streaked leather (42k), some reinforced pallid white leather (20k), some reinforced mithril-riveted leather (6k) and some reinforced flask-crested leather (3k). (all reinforced)

Sign reads:
The day will come in any healer's life when the healer must risk his own life to save that of another. While few wish to go into battle, it is best to be safe when that day comes, and the merchandise offered here will help to protect you when it does.
Wizards have treated the armor here so that it will complete its task more surely, and the degree of each garment's enchantment may be judged from its price. None of this armor will hinder an empath's spells.

The tunnel ends in a wide, oblong oval chamber filled with the faint but pervasive scent of metal polish. Long, shield-laden racks conceal the lower half of each wall, and the floor is mostly hidden by a braided oval rug edged with long wool fringe. The deep scarlet of the rug's fine rolton wool is well-complemented by the slightly ruddy hue of the rocky walls and ceiling, though it clashes terribly with some of the brighter shades of enamel used to decorate the wares. You also see an etched black invar sign.
Obvious exits: southwest
Sign reads:
With these fine shields, you can demonstrate your dedication to the healing arts as well as protecting yourself from the dangers of field healing.
The shields on the silver-gilt rack are enchanted to the greatest degree; from there, the degree of enchantment descends on the opal-inset, wrought-iron, and felwood racks before reaching the invar rack, which holds only unenchanted shields.
On the invar shield rack you see a bubbling potion-crested shield, a spotted weedroot-motif shield, a haphip leaf-etched shield, a cactacae cactus-engraved shield and a torban tree-etched shield. (500 silver each - 0x)
On the fel shield rack you see a sweetfern frond-engraved shield, a tundra grass-motif shield, a rose marrow blossom-motif shield, a wolifrew lichen-painted shield, an ambrominas leaf-engraved shield and a basal moss-patterned shield. (3k each - 1x)
On the wrought-iron rack you see a calamia fruit-painted shield, a daggit root-etched shield, a pennyroyal plant-painted shield, a wyrmwood tree-crested shield, a valerian plant-crested shield, an angelica plant-motif shield, a wingstem plant-crested shield, a bur clover seed-patterned shield, a ptarmigan feather-painted shield, a woth flower-motif shield and a sovyn clove-crested shield. (10k each - 2x)
On the opal-inset rack you see a red lichen-motif shield, a sassafras leaf-motif shield, a mushroom painted shield, a marallis berry-motif shield, a strigae cactus-motif shield, a cuctucae berry-painted shield and an acantha leaf-painted shield. (20k each - 3x)
On the silver-gilt rack you see a ginkgo leaf-crested shield, a feverfew stalk-crested shield, a cavegrass etched shield, a ratweed patterned shield, an ephlox moss-painted shield, a pothinir grass-painted shield, a cothinar flower-crested shield, a yabithilium fruit-crested shield and an aloeas leaf-motif shield. (29k each - 4x)
[Physicians' Refuge]
Eye-stinging garlic fumes fill this small alcove, trapped by a ragged flap of spotted leaper hide covering the exit. The source of the stench is obvious -- just below a guttering orange torch, a rack of large garlic amulets has been arrayed for inspection, right beside a crookedly engraved slab of grey stone. There is very little space to stand, and, in order to avoid squeezing out potential customers, the grinning, gap-toothed sales clerk has chosen to perch atop a slanting, waist-high ledge.
Obvious exits: none
On the ironwood rack you see a garlic and tarragon amulet, a garlic and larkspur amulet, a garlic and moonflower amulet, a garlic and banana skin amulet, a garlic and orange peel amulet, a garlic and monkeyflower amulet, a garlic and broccoli amulet, a garlic and rosemary amulet, a garlic and lavender amulet, a garlic and dried pepper amulet, a garlic and toadstool amulet and a garlic and red lichen amulet. (15k each - neck worn)
Scripted with show description:
a garlic and monkeyflower amulet: - Three large cloves of garlic have been bound together with lengths of intricately knotted sinew. Each of the cloves has been awkwardly etched with a different dwarven rune, and the flesh of each bulb has turned brown and spongy around the cuts. Pieces of dried monkeyflower can be seen sandwiched among the garlic cloves, but, while the monkeyflower adds a hint of color, it does nothing at all to mitigate the intensely spicy odor. A long, slim, silvery blue mithril neckchain runs through two loops of sinew to suspend the bizarre talisman.
Rub - You rub a garlic and monkeyflower amulet. Great... now your fingers smell like garlic.
Wave - You wave the amulet around enthusiastically, sending out pungent waves of strong garlickly scent. Surely the taint of disease won't reach you past a barrier that strong.
Wave <name> - You wave the amulet forcefully in Primum's direction as you exclaim, "Cleanse him, Oh mighty amulet!"
That ought to show his who knows what's what!
Lick - You lick the monkeyflower amulet. Your entire mouth tastes like garlic now.
Raise - activates the amulet (casts Undisease)

The soothing scents of cinnamon and mint contrast oddly with the instruments of death offered for sale in this chamber. Crossbows rest atop both a polished mithril table and an ironwood counter, and a low display placed conveniently nearby cradles a variety of bundles of ammunition. Across from the ranged weapons, a gilded ironwood rack contains a sufficient variety of dwarven polearms to outfit half an army. Like an awkwardly spoken apology, a plain white sign stands in front of the merchandise. You also see a large important notice.
Obvious exits: west
Sign reads:
When shields, armors, and magical defenses will not suffice to protect a physician, some take up weapons to protect themselves and their patient. With a ranged weapon or a polearm, it is possible to keep an attacker at a safe distance... or, if need be, to physically prevent an attacker from approaching any further.
The crossbows on the table are lighter and easier to load, but bolts from the crossbows on the counter will strike with significantly greater force.
Notice reads:
It has come to the attention of this shop's owners that the sign placed here originally claimed that heavy crossbows were on the table and light crossbows were on the counter. This was incorrect, and we apologize for the confusion.
To make amends, we have contracted the services of a skilled weaponsmith, who will be here at 10 PM on Restday and at 1 PM on Volnes. Working in room order, Guramish will alter one crossbow of any kind for any person who purchased a crossbow here prior to 12:15 on Restday.
In the ironwood rack you see a moonstone-set sturdy glaes trident, a silvered vultite-headed sarissa, a razor-edged pearlized glaes jeddart-axe, a blue-swirled white mithril pilum, an enruned leather-wrapped spear, a diamond-set white vultite Hammer of Kai, a gleaming white invar halberd and an ironwood ora-headed awl-pike.
On the mithril table you see a pale opal and sapphire-inlaid crossbow, a black-veined white mithglin crossbow, an enruned glaes and haon crossbow, a bejeweled white vultite crossbow and a diamond-inset bleached invar crossbow.
On the ironwood counter you see a translucent ice-pale glaes crossbow, a burnished grey vultite crossbow, a bone-white bejeweled invar crossbow, a vine-motif birch and ora crossbow and a snow white mithril heavy crossbow.
On the crossbow bolt display you see a bundle of runed alder bolts, a small silvery placard, a bundle of aloeas-wood bolts, a bundle of white birch bolts, a bundle of cherrywood bolts, a bundle of rough pine bolts, a bundle of slender elm bolts, a bundle of haphip-wood bolts, a bundle of splintery oak bolts, a bundle of spinewood bolts, a bundle of wyrmwood bolts, a bundle of polished yew bolts, a bundle of applewood bolts, a bundle of yellow aspen bolts, a bundle of silvery beech bolts, a bundle of black willow bolts, a bundle of jet black fel bolts, a bundle of violet haon bolts, a bundle of hawthorn bolts, a bundle of brown hazel bolts, a bundle of maplewood bolts and a bundle of torban-wood bolts.
Sign reads: The alder, aloeas, birch, cherrywood, elm, haphip-wood, oak, spinewood, wyrmwood, and yew-shafted bolts are for light crossbows.
The apple, aspen, beech, fel, haon, hawthorn, hazel, maple, torban, and willow-shafted bolts are for heavy crossbows.
None of these bolts are enchanted. In cases where the bolts are made from the wood of trees with healing properties, the trees experienced a natural death prior to harvesting.

Splashes of color come from a round braided rug upon the ground and from several thick wool blankets, which cover the shelves lining this chamber and fill a bin set to one side. The blankets have been patterned with diamonds and squares of blue and green against a dusk grey background, a design perhaps influenced by a Malghavan voice -- but the mithril shelves are definitely stout dwarven craftsmanship, and the rug bears a Krethuum insignia in the center of its concentric pattern. You also see a wool-lined ironwood case, a quilt-covered mithril counter with some stuff on it and a small sign placed prominently on the wall.
Obvious exits: west, southeast
Sign reads:
Some things are good for sopping spills, but some are good for keeping sick folk warm. We use these halfling blankets for preventing potions from breaking, if any should be knocked over -- but all the blankets for sale here were made by good dwarven hands. The wool comes from fine Krethuum stock, the furs were purchased from Toktrog hunters, and the cotton was planted, tended, and harvested by the Ralgrenek.
In the ironwood case you see a mithril-edged white placard, a bone-hilted vultite lancet (7.7k), a diamond-inset ora lancet (2k), a razor-sharp glaes lancet (5.1k), a slender silvery mithril lancet (1.6k) and a gleaming invar lancet (1.1k). (all - weigh less than 2)
Scripted:
Wave - You draw the tip of the vultite lancet slowly through the air along the path of an imaginary incision.
Turn - You turn the vultite lancet slightly sideways and draw the edge along the back of your hand. The lancet's razor-sharp edge scrapes away a faint powder of dried skin.
Rub - You gently polish the glaes lancet, taking care to avoid cutting yourself on the remarkably honed edge.
Placard reads:
These small blades are intended for medical purposes. Those thinking to carry one into combat will be sorely disappointed.
On the mithril counter you see an enruned red clay mortar (200 silver), an enruned red clay pestle (100 silver), a bejeweled grey ora pestle (10k), a bejeweled grey ora mortar (5k), a translucent black glaes mortar (6k), a translucent black glaes pestle (3k), a burnished blue mithril mortar (1.2k), a burnished blue mithril pestle (600 silver), a smooth white stone mortar (200 silver) and a smooth white stone pestle (100 silver).

In the low mithril bin you see a blue-bordered grey wool blanket (1k), a quilted deep violet blanket (1k), a white-spotted dark rabbit fur blanket (1.5k), a glossy chestnut fur blanket (2k), a mithril-edged bear fur blanket (2.5k), a mud brown rolton wool blanket (2.5k), a white-edged crimson cotton quilt (1k), a fluffy dark blue cotton quilt (1k), a thick white puma hide blanket (2k), a silver-edged jade green quilt (2k), a fur-lined saffron wool blanket (1.5k), a leaf-stitched green and white blanket (1k), a soft spotted snowcat fur blanket (2k), a greasy blue gak fur blanket (1k), a piebald centaur hide blanket (1k) and an edelweiss patterned wool blanket (1250 silver). (all cloak worn, no pockets, weighs 6)
[Physicians' Refuge]
Cloth ripples and metal mesh clinks faintly as the twin dwarven clerks move quietly among the wares on display. A row of hooks suspended between two mithril poles supports a display of pocketed aprons, and a dwarf-sized mirror propped against the opposite wall allows new purchasers to examine their appearance. Crushed spearmint leaves have been scattered across the floor, but their strong scent fails to completely mask the reek of garlic from an alcove in the eastern wall. You also see a dusk grey mithril bench with some stuff on it and a carved ironwood shelf with some stuff on it.
Obvious exits: northwest
On the mithril hooks you see a leaf-tooled brown leather apron, a cream-colored linen apron, a mud brown fur-trimmed apron, a flask-crested golden cotton apron, a scarlet and green plaid apron, a thick silvery grey wool apron, a coal-stained orange cotton apron and a rugged grey troll hide apron. (all - waist worn, small amount)
On the mithril bench you see a wool-lined mithril mesh pouch, a fur-lined bronze mail pouch, a small tooled leather herb pouch, a velvet-lined invar mesh herb pouch and a linen-lined silver mesh pouch. (belt worn - small amount)

[Physicians' Refuge]
A young dwarven apprentice watches over the protective gear arrayed for sale in this chamber. Little can be seen of her face above her half-veil, but her large, solemn eyes are almost the exact same shade of grey as the stone floor. Reflections of the sconce-cradled candles shimmer off the pristinely polished rock and dance across the surface of a basin of water, which sits, along with a stack of linen napkins, next to the apprentice's chair. You also see a short grey mithril wardrobe with a small herbal sachet on it, some tall mithril shelves standing against the wall, a white-draped mithril counter with some stuff on it and a pale parchment sign.
Obvious exits: south
In the mithril wardrobe you see a small white placard, a blackworked grey dwarven robe, a cream white gak-hide robe, a dark grey braid-trimmed robe, a long woven goat-hair robe, a shaggy brown rolton fur robe, a wool acantha leaf-patterned robe, a multi-hued thick cotton robe, an ankle-length soft grey robe and a mithril-edged pale blue wool robe. (7.5k each - cloak worn, very large amount)
Placard reads:
Carrying bulky satchels and bags can be problematic or downright dangerous to a field healer. The capacious pockets of these specially tailored robes will store every potion, surgical tool, roll of bandages, and herbal ointment that you might need, but without the dangerous aspects of poorly balanced sacks and backpacks.
On the grey mithril shelf you see a small white placard, a crystal and grey snakeskin hood, a polished blue crystal-beaded coif, a crystal-edged ora chainmail coif, a crystal and jet black invar coif, a crystal-set mithril chain coif, a crystal-edged tooled leather hood, a supple black crystal-beaded hood and a crystal-set lizard skin hood. (5k each - weighs 2, head worn)
Placard reads:
Communication between healers is all-important, particularly when multiple victims are injured in remote areas (as in the case of a cave-in). After donning one of these coifs or hoods, healers may concentrate to share their very thoughts with those around them, communicating far more swiftly than would be otherwise possible. Unfortunately, due to the fragility of the crystals required for this magic, they provide minimal to no protection against attack.
On the mithril counter you see a small white placard, a translucent black linen half-veil, a layered brown gauze half-veil, a dark crimson linen half-veil, a sheer grey cotton half-veil, a chin-length white linen half-veil, a rune-stitched green cotton half-veil and a mithril beaded gauze half-veil. (15k each - head worn)
Placard reads:
The tasks of a field medic are often extremely dangerous. Some of the risks are as obvious as giant veaba, but others are far more subtle -- such as the poisonous gases and toxic molds that may be loosed as part of a cave-in. As well as being made of thin cloths that will naturally filter out smoke and ash in the air, these veils are impregnated with powerful magic to protect your lungs as soon as you put them on. Overusing the magic will drain the strength of the veil and cause it to disintegrate.
Sign reads:
Please do not handle the merchandise! We are trying to avoid contamination.
Use of these goods may be dangerous to those unfamiliar with magical items.
You may learn more about each piece of protective wear by reading the placards beside the goods.
Gloves (on the blue shelf): 4000 silver.
Hoods (on the grey shelf): 5000 silver.
Coifs (on the grey shelf): 7000 silver.
Robes (in the wardrobe): 7500 silver.
Veils (on the counter): 15000 silver.
On the blue mithril shelf you see a small white placard, some soft brown bat skin gloves, some thin brown linen gloves, some sleek lizard skin gloves, some silky grey moleskin gloves, some fur-cuffed supple leather gloves and some enruned oilcloth gloves. (4k each)
Placard reads:
These gloves are specially designed to assist in the difficult task of surgery. Made of thin, light materials, they protect the surgeon's skin from contaminants while providing a better gripping surface upon tools. As well, these gloves can be rubbed for a brief magical boost of skill at critical moments, although over-use of this property will destroy the gloves themselves.

a bat-painted black iron door
[The Blind Bat's Drinks]
Despite the chiseled iron sign placed beside the entrance, the cavern appears completely bat-free. A rusting chandelier hangs from the low ceiling, and candlelight glitters through the decanters arranged on the back shelves. A shriveled old dwarven woman busies herself with polishing up the bar, humming atonally to herself in a shrill voice. You also see several scratched ironwood tables with sets of chairs placed conveniently near and a corroded iron door.
Obvious exits: none
On the ironwood bar you see a scrawled drinks list.

a narrow entryway
[Warm Corner, Food Counter]
This earthen corner of the mine extends far into the distance, the back wall obscured by hazy smoke that hovers over the busy dwarves crowded around pot-topped cooking stoves. Despite the close confines of the area, customers have packed themselves in, exchanging silvers with the clerk for warm food and a mug of tantalizing cider. A few intrepid souls remain in the corner to consume their purchases, but most escape as soon as they can to the relatively cooler freedom of the passage. You also see an ale-soaked trestle table with some stuff on it and a long oak counter with some stuff on it.
Obvious exits: out
On the trestle table you see a tankard of tart crabapple cider, a tankard of dark dwarven porter, a tankard of dwarven bock beer, a tankard of golden dwarven lager, a wee glass of rich cider brandy, a wee bottle of golden barley wine and a mug of dark ginger beer. (200 silvers each)

a crude wooden doorway
[Battle Rations]
A few sheets of grimy canvas tacked to the earthen walls form the sole nod at cleanliness. Teetering in the corner is a stack of enormous soup pots, clearly large enough to feed several troops. While some of the provisions have been crated up for shipment, others are laid out for sale on overturned shields and old cots. You also see a heavy tarp hanging from a metal curtain rod, an open wooden crate, a crude wooden doorway, an overturned shield with some stuff on it and an old canvas cot with some stuff on it.
Obvious exits: none
On the overturned shield you see a brick of dried grumbleberries (700 silver), a brick of dried flathead mushrooms (700 silver), a brick of withered black mushrooms (700 silver), a brick of dried bilberries (800 silver), a brick of dried wild strawberries (1k) and a brick of dried gooseberries (800 silver).

[Battle Rations]
There is very little room to maneuver in this storage closet, so packed is it with shelves and chests and supply sacks. A wooden sign has been propped up on one of the shelves, positioned for maximum visibility. The ground is slightly sticky with crushed berries and bits of dried fruit. You also see a crooked shelf with some stuff on it, an oak chest and an iron rack with some stuff on it.

a cracked grey oak door
[Tugulka's Fried Stuff]
Oily steam billows in great plumes from several vats of boiling grease. Sweating dwarves bustle swiftly around the cavern, ladling bite-sized pieces of food into the grease vats and straining them back out with gunk-spattered sieves. From there, it is only a quick flip of the wrist to deposit the contents of each sieve into a paper bag, and the bags are set out for display across a low counter. Although no chairs are provided, two rock ledges have been padded with singed towels for makeshift seating. You also see a grease-stained grey oak door with a large crack running down one side.
Obvious exits: none
On the stone counter you see a small bag of headless crispy cavefish, a small bag of tiny fried toads, a small bag of crisped toadstools, a small bag of cooked cave snake, a small bag of fried rat jerky, a small bag of greasy gak-meat dumplings, a small bag of beer-battered grubs, a small bag of chopped fried mushrooms and a small bag of fried lizard meat. (500 silver each)
Flip them at people:
You pluck toad from your small bag and flip it high into the air!
It was a pretty good toss, and you only need to lean back a little in order to catch the toad in your mouth!
That was delicious!
Flicking with a bit more energy than usual, the toad you just aimed at Leung hits him right on the posterior!
