Ale Festival - Zul Lugoth

 Beribboned Wagon

[Skidia's Shoes, Front Room]

Some attempt has been made to create a pleasing display of footwear, but the end result is still on the chaotic side. A wooden box has been painstakingly painted with stripes of red and gold, but the shoes on top of it are jumbled randomly together. A few ribbons have been tied to a long rack on the south wall, but halfway along either the ribbons ran out or the decorator just lost interest.

Obvious exits: north, east, out.

In the wooden box you see some scarred sienna leather boots, some firebrick red leather boots, some oiled bronze leather boots, some bucket-top steel blue boots, some ruched green taffeta slippers, some canary ribbon-lattice slippers, some red-soled marigold suede slippers, some oak-heeled bottle-green slippers, some carnation cross-laced slippers and some sea green pebbled leather boots. Large Canvas Tent

[Hand to Hand]

This substantial tent made from heavy canvas, steel grommets, thick braided ropes, and steel-capped tent poles looks like it might outlast some permanent buildings you have seen. The tent opening is reinforced with a curved ironwood arch which is lined on the inside with grommets, perhaps for restoring a tent flap. You also see a painted sign and a modwir weapons chest.

Obvious exits: east, out.

Sign reads:

Here you'll find good dwarven steel! That is, unless you want to fight with a little leather bag of sand. If dwarven steel ain't good enough for ya, it's east ya should go.

Painted Wagon

Elondar Illiandan and Snakestone Tu'nast are in the business of reforging armor.

What does this mean? If selected by the craftsmen, and for a reasonable fee (and we determine what reasonable is) will add to or take away from the protection your armor offers.

We are not of course transmuters or philosophers, we are unable to convert your plate mail to leather, nor your scale to chain. We can take a piece or three away from your armor or quickly forge some steel and add some more protection.

Being far easier to cut some pieces off, then to sweat over the hot forge and add segments, expect to pay more for adding coverage. Additionally, expect to pay more if we have to work around difficult enchantments, or move cotton batting around.

Finally, realize that once your armor base has changed its relative strength and durability will change to reflect its new status.

The decisions of the armorers are final. There is no negotiations on the price quoted, or its final values.

Take it or leave it.

In this rather large room which takes most of the wagon's space, the walls are made of a rough oak scarred with lots of nicks and cuts. Shelves on the back wall are somewhat covered with bits and pieces of metal, strips of leather and lots of dust. The nondescript furniture looks uncomfortable but since all of it is covered with tools of the trade it doesn't really matter. A small anvil sits in the middle of the table in the corner. A leather drape hangs in one corner. You also see a heavy iron rack with some stuff on it and a stout metal shelf with some stuff on it.

Obvious exits: west, out.

On the iron rack you see a gold-edged imflass bastard sword (41k), a gold-etched mithril longsword (48k), a gold hilted vultite falchion (64500)and a gold pommeled glaes broadsword (41500).

On the metal shelf you see a gold runed vultite mace, a gold tipped mithril war hammer, a gold handled vultite crowbill and a gold handled imflass morning star.

[Claessa's Wagon, Shop]

This light and airy room is much less cluttered than the front room and has several feminine touches, such as the lacey curtains hung on the windows. There also isn't a speck of dust to be found anywhere in the room. Large stuffed pillows of colors of the rainbow sit in the corner with a low table next to them. Covering the floor is a large black bear rug, its mouth fully extended. You also see a large silver chest and a large silver box.

Obvious exits: east.

In the silver chest you see a silver edged mithril longsword, a silver hilted vultite falchion, a silver pommeled glaes broadsword and a silvery imflass bastard sword.

In the silver box you see a silver runed vultite mace, a silvery imflass morning star, a silver handled vultite crowbill and a silvery mithril war hammer.

 Brightly Colored Silk Tent

[Tepen's Fine Garments]

The interior of this festively decorated tent is so full of vibrant color that it is hard to focus on any one place for too long. The tent itself is made of patched cloth of every conceivable hue. Wide cloak racks are placed haphazardly between an armoire full of brightly colored tunics and a tall hat rack. Several trunks and crates lie in a seemingly random pattern on the floor. Opposite the bright auburn flap leading out, a large cerulean tent flap leads further into the tent.

Obvious exits: out.

In the iron-banded trunk you see some black leather half boots, some stiff red leather boots, some polished black leather shoes, some high-cut black suede boots, a pair of rigid leather boots and some supple brown suede boots. (10250 each)

On the cloak rack you see a heavy blue wool mantle, a deeply-hooded faded brown cape, a fur-lined bear skin greatcloak, a colorful patchwork cloak, a heavy brown leather mantle, a silver-lined dark blue silk cape, a flowing black velvet cloak and a red fox fur lined stole.

In the fel armoire you see an elegant forest green tunic, a rope-belted torn cotton tunic, a ruby-buttoned scarlet silk tunic and a dashing black velvet tunic.

[Tepen's Garments, Back Room]

This room, while smaller than the sales room, is even more elaborately colored. Plush cushions rest on the floor in the tent's corners in large piles. A large cerulean tent flap leads back to the tent's main room.

Obvious exits: none.

Short Iron-Banded Wagon

[Zigiluk's Arms and Armor]

The interior of this wagon somehow appears to be quite a bit larger than its exterior indicates. Large metal racks line each wall and a short iron table rests in the wagon's center. Other than a massive battle-axe mounted above the door, the wagon is completely undecorated. A short iron-bound door leads farther into the wagon.

Obvious exits: out.

On the metal rack you see some plated steel arm greaves, some plated steel leg greaves, a heavy steel plated helmet, a heavy polished steel breastplate, an augmented polished steel breastplate, some heavy steel half plate and some heavy steel full platemail.

On the iron table you see a serrated invar claidhmore, a double-bladed vultite battle axe, a heavy black mithril war hammer, a thick-bladed invar falchion, a razor-sharp polished steel longsword and a haon-handled dark imflass mace.

[Zigiluk's Back Room]

Except for the workbench and anvil in the corner, this small room resembles a jail cell more than it does a forge. Several sturdy cabinets, secured with locked chains, line the room's walls at about chest-level for an elf. A large wooden keg with a barely legible sign rests atop an overturned crate in the corner. You also see a short iron-bound door.

Obvious exits: none.

Gleaming Marble Temple

[The Sanctorium]

Solemn monks kneel on a padded white prie-dieu behind a shining white marble altar, their voices raised in a fervent hymn, as they seek divine intervention. Occasionally, a friar in a soot-blackened alb wanders in and reverently lays a newly contructed weapon upon the altar. Another monk with ink-stained fingers copies documents near a marble ambo. Sunlight streams in through a stained glass window set into the cathedral-style ceiling, illuminating the altar.

Small Stone Dwelling

 [Danahue's Lair]

Accumulated dust is pushed up against the walls forming tiny bunkers for the legions of ants and spiders that wander around. A huge cavern-like fireplace, black with years of soot, dominates the west wall. In front of it, a rough wooden table stands to one side, a solitary chair the only seat. Some boxes are piled haphazardly on another wall. A wooden doorway leads out back.

Large Sturdy Wagon

Small Sturdy Wagon

[Lusila's Wagon]

[Lusila's Wagon, A Small Alcove]

Various crates lay stacked about in here, reaching almost to the ceiling of this small and dusty alcove. Oddly enough for a dwarven business, some of them bear the insignia of Ta'Vaalor, Ta'Ardenai and Ta'Loenthra. Many more have been chipped and scratched over the area where the stamp would be, leaving nothing but scarred wood. One of the crates has been pried open and you see a glint of metal and gleam of polished wood inside. You also see a scratched crate and a hastily written sign.

Obvious exits: west.

Sign reads:

One of them elves owed me some money. He couldn't pay, so I took his stock instead. If you can't appreciate good dwarven craftsmanship, you might like this stuff. You might like a tiny glass of wine and some tights too, but I'm not selling those. -Lusila

Huge clusters of pulsating crystals dot the walls, cloaking the room in a constantly shiftly blue light, their hazy glow casting waves of viridian incandescence upon everything. Billowing Rainbow Tent

[Piruvio's Painting]

The billowing cloth walls of the tent are adorned with swaths of shimmering rainbow silk that sway gently with every stray breeze that drifts through the entrance. An ornate golden lantern hangs from the middle of the circular ceiling, casting a soft flickering light upon the area. A small stool splattered with countless paint stains sits at the far end of the room, surrounded by a comfortable grouping of soft satin pillows. I have many designs to choose from, and I'll bring out the best (or worst!) of your personality! Do NOT confuse this with a tattoo, that practice is much too painful for my stomach. After a while, my masterpieces will fade, but take comfort - not everyone can be a living painting!" ~ Piruvio Vilineero ~

[Gorand's Wagon, Showroom]

The scent of stale cigar smoke blends with that of strong ale, creating an acrid odor that assaults the senses of anyone unlucky enough to be standing within this cramped showroom. Smoke-scarred walls merge with the scuffed floor, providing an unsightly foundation for this unkempt wagon. Set into the far wall is a battered modwir door with a hastily scrawled parchment tacked onto its splintery surface. Obvious exits: out.

Don't whine that your item fell apart after you left this tent - obviously my goods are of the finest quality so if it broke it was something you did! And don't claim my clerks gave you the wrong item either - you'd have to be blind not to notice as they handed it to you! In other words, all sales are final! - Gorand

[Gorand's Wagon, Workroom]

A tattered sign rests upon the craggy surface of a massive granite worktable that dominates the center of this inhospitable room. A pair of dusty iron claidhmores adorns the wall behind the worktable, their blades intersecting in an "X" formation. A silver-edged plaque rests underneath the two neglected weapons, its surface displaying four large numbers: "5049." Some ratty brown cushions have been scattered haphazardly on the floor in front of the granite worktable. You also see a battered modwir door.

Obvious exits: none.

In case you just crawled out from under a rock and never heard of me, I am Gorand the world-renowned tailor. If by chance you are lucky enough to be selected by me to have one of your articles of clothing custom-tailored for you, keep in mind my simple rules:

1. I only work on wares that meet my approval, which will be

decided upon while I work. Not all craftsman are as skilled as

me, and I refuse to work on shoddy items.

2. Second, if I say your request can't be done, it can't be done.

Go find some other tailor if you don't like it.

3. Finally, the prices for my services vary depending on what you'd

like done, how rich you look and how much you annoy me.

Rough-hewn Stall

 [The Apothecary, Remedies]

The planks that make up this tiny stall are so rough as to practically still be trees. A slate sign hangs from a bent nail above a set of rickety wooden shelves. The earthen floor is stained an unusual shade of purple in one corner and appears slightly sticky as well.

Obvious exits: north, out.

Sign reads:

These be healin' decoctions. Can be refilled 'long as ya use the right sort of potion, and the container'll stick around so long as you pour the last dose 'stead of drinkin' it.

[The Apothecary, Cases]

The back section of the stall is even more crowded than the front due to the many cases hanging from nails and hooks and any other available protrusion. The air is cloyingly sweet and dust from the floor coats every surface. You also see a small half-open cabinet.

Obvious exits: south.

On the rusted nails you see a gold-buckled scarlet leather case, a lacquered red maoral case, an amber corded bamboo case, a brass-fitted dark leather case, a pale gold bent pine case, a silver-edged rich mahogany case, a leaf-etched dark bronze case, a key-clasped black enamel case, an opal-set brushed silver case and a satin-lined silvery birch case. Large White-Washed Wagon

 [Risterka's Wares]

Wobbly wooden shutters have been pushed against the walls to be used as makeshift displays for the goods. It seems that there was no attempt at decorating, except perhaps for the length of sturdy hemp rope that hangs across the tiny space of the wagon. On a scuffed leather bench sits a white-haired female dwarf, her piercing black eyes looking over every person that wanders in. You also see a cracked mithril-bound trunk.

Obvious exits: out.

In the mithril-bound trunk you see a sun-faded oval battle shield (60k), a tall hammered silver shield (50k), a gold riveted round imflass shield (35k) and a heavily embossed glaes shield (50k).

Shoddy Wooden Shack

 [Stuff It, Entryway]
