Shirely says that Edward Arnold Carroll was born on February 13, 1873. I think that she must have gotten this information from The Carroll Family Saga and might have a question about the date.

Ed Carroll Dies Of Heart Attack - Death Comes Quietly For Pioneer Man

Ed Carroll, 66, pioneer Marshall County, resident, died suddenly of heart failure at the home of his son, Whit Carroll, near Aylesworth, Oklahoma at 5 o'clock in the afternoon. Mr. Carroll, who was well known especially among early settlers of the county, was sitting in a chair reading a catalogue when he slumped over suddenly. He was dead when relatives reached him.

Although he had been in bad health for about three years, relatives said that he had gone hunting Tuesday and that his pockets were filled with pecans at the time of his death. They said he had been picking these during the day.

Funeral services will be held at the Cumberland School at 2:30 o'clock Friday afternoon. Burial will be in the Cumberland Cemetery with Watts Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
