LANTMAN Alfonsus Arthur with HEYRMAN Marie Cesarine
| The year nineteen hundred twenty, the third March at six o'clock in the
afternoon, before us Jozef S'Heeren, burgomaster [mayor], civil servant in
charge of the civil registrations of the municipality of Melsele, have
appeared: ALFONSUS ARTHUR LANTMAN, born at Beveren-Waas the fourteenth June
eightteen hundred eight and eighty, such as appears from the birth record
shown here, last residing at Sint-Gillis-Waas and now here, workman, son
major of age of Josef Antoon Lantman, deceased at Sint Niklaas the second
May nineteen hundred and seven; and of Maria Clementina Van Overtveldt,
deceased at Beveren, the seven and twentieth March eightteen hundred one
and ninety, such as appears from the record of death shown here, at the one
hand; and MARIE CESARINE HEYRMAN, born at Zwijndrecht the three and
twentieth September nineteen hundred and one, such as appears from the
birth record shown here, farm worker, daughter minor of age of Carolus
Ludovicus Heyrman aged three and fourty years, city worker and of Marie
Leonie Pultyn aged two and forty years, homemaker, both residing here, here
present and consenting, at the other hand. --- which appearers requested us
to proceed with the celebration of their marriage, of which the
announdements already have been made in accordance with the law at Melsele
and at Sint-Gillis-Waas on Sunday two and twenty February last. -- No
opposition against this marriage being made to us, justifying their
request, have we - after reading aloud of all the documents presented,
which have been duly initialled and will remain attached to the present
record, as well as of the sixth chapter of the fifth title of the civil
code, entitled: Of the marriage, -- asked the groom and the bride if they
had the intention to take eachother as husband and wife, each of them
having replied in turn YES, we declare in the name of the law that the said
ALFONSUS ARTHUR LANTMAN and MARIE CESARINE HEYRMAN are united by the bond
of marriage; which marriage has been celebrated in public at the town hall,
in the presence of the two witnesses mentioned hereafter: Jozef Janssens,
aged three and vourty years, teacher, and Gustave Bresseleers, aged fourty
years, local police man, both residing here, no kin, who have with us, the
contracting parties, and the father of the bride, signed this record after
it having been read aloud; the mother of the bride declares that she cannot
write because of illiteracy.
