1686 Frances DAWSON Northmoor
Found the following in the Northmoor transcripts(OFHS)
There are quite a lot of DAWSON/ DAS(S)ON/DASTON/DAUSON/DAUSTONs at Northmoor, the
registers commence in 1653 and there is a Humphrey DAUSTON/DASTON baptising children from 1654 through to
1663ish including a Frances :-
06 Jan 1660-Francees DASTON d Humpry & Margaret.

>From the 1670s there are several family's of DAWSONs the name being spelt differently each time but mostly
DASON/DAUSON or DAWSON,this included:-
19 Sep 1686-DAWSON Frances d Humphrey & Joan
they had several other children.
I cannot see any further reference to Frances at
Northmoor.
These Buriels may be relevant:-
22 Aug 1698-DAWSON Humphrey yeoman
22 Jul 1703-DAWSON Humphrey carpenter
01 Oct 1717-DAWSON Joane widow.

No-no baptism for either of the Humphrey/Humfry/Humpfry and even Umpfry in one entry!!
With the registers lost prior to 1653 it is going to be difficult to put it mildly!!
The children of Humphrey(1) and Margaret are:-
11 Apr 1654-DAUSTON Thomas
16 Oct 1657-DAUSTON John
06 Jun 1660-DASTON Francees(sic)
18 Aug 1663-DASTON Martha
As Margaret was not buried until 24 Nov 1706 (widow) she could have had Humph(2) before Thomas,in the missing registers.
While Humph(1) and Margaret were baptising their babies a Richard and Ann and a Thomas and Anne were
also christing babies, could be brothers of Humph(1)?!
The children of Humphrey(2) and Joan are:-
06 Jan 1677-DAUSTON Anne d Umfry & Jone born 31 Dec
08 May 1681-DASON John s. Umfri & John (sic)
30 Dec 1683-DAUSON Richard s Humphry & Joan born 28 Dec
19 Sep 1686-DAWSON Frances d Humphrey & Joan
The next Humphrey appears in 1728 s John, carpenter and he also becomes a carpenter!
There are quite a few DAWSONs along the Oxon/Berks border,Alvescot/Stanton Harcourt/Standlake/Northmoor
and Fyfield(Berks)etc.
