Memories of Shepherds Bush and Hammersmith

Goldhawk Road - some photos

Friends who visited London in Late 2002 found an eel and pie shop still there at the Goldhawk Road end of Shepherd's Bush market. So pop out of the Tube at Shepherd's Bush walk through the market - refresh at the cafe and pop back in Tube at Goldhawk Road. (get one of those special on and off tourist tickets - check at Airport maybe cheaper there)
What I always ordered was one pie with 2 scoops of mash and one of peas and loads of Liqour - the parsley sauce made it

Leamore Street - we lived there in 1930's

Cathnor Road where Gran (d.1942) lived

Starch Green - Shepherds Bush

1939 My Doctor

Stamford Brook

1944 Westville School we were very near when it was bombed

Goldhawk Road - looking towards Shepherds Bush Green also check Stamford Brook above
