Cemetery, Victoria, B.C., Canada. The property, in
Esquimalt, was
purchased from the H.B.C. in 1868 to establish a cemetery
for 'deceased
officers and sailors'. This cemetery is not that well known,
even in
Victoria. Some of the tombstones are getting difficult to read. The
origins are rarely stated, but seem likely to be English given the era
and H.M.S. ships listed:
