The earliest known ancestor for this line is John Berry who was born 1791 at Tiverton, Devonshire. John Berry was shown on the 1841 census in Bradfield (near Uffcule), Devonshire and died in 1882 at Culmstock, Devonshire. His son, John Berry [Junior] was born 1823 in Bampton, Devonshire, with subsequent generations settling in Culmstock, Devonshire, until emigration to the United States by the 1930s.
