Calvin Ralph Langille

LANGILLE, Calvin Ralph - 84, Isaac's Harbour, Guysborough Co.,
died November 10, 1999, in St. Martha's Regional Hospital, Antigonish.
Born on Tancook Island,
he was a son of the late Winton and Odessa (Stevens) Langille.
He was a retired seaman having sailed the Great Lakes from early 1950's until his retirement in 1980.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He was a former member of the MacRitchie Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion, Goldboro.
He also worked during his lifetime at the Seal Harbour Gold Mines, National Sea In Halifax,
the pulp and paper industry in Terrace Bay, Ontario and
Kimberly Clark in Abercrombie Point.
He is survived by son, Harold (Carol), New Glasgow;
daughters, Janet (Mrs. Henry Spears), Stellarton;
Lorraine (Mrs. Gary Kelly), Bedford;
brothers, Ronald, Halifax; Harvey, Arnold, Isaac's Harbour;
sister, Lillian (Mrs. Frank Sechesky), Terrance Bay, Ont.;
seven grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; one great-great-grandson;
several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, the former Elsie Sponagle;
a daughter in infancy;
brothers, Lindsay, Almon and Wilfred;
sisters, Mildred Cody, Helen Gillard, Emma Hallett, Bertha Cooke.
Cremation has taken place.
Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Sunday in G.W. Giffin Funeral Home, Country Harbour.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in Isaac's Harbour United Baptist Church,
Rev. Barry Jack officiating.
Burial will follow in Isaac's Harbour United Baptist Cemetery.
