Harold Reginald Hall

HALL, Harold Reginald - 81, Springhill, passed away in All Saints
Hospital,
Springhill, on Thursday, July 29, 2004, with his family by his side,
following a
long and courageous battle with cancer. Born in Springhill, he was a
son of the
late Lloyd R. and Mame (McNutt) Hall. In his early years, Harold was
self-employed with his brother, Lloyd, running Hall's Taxi and
Ambulance Service
in Springhill. He later worked at the Halifax Shopping Centre for 25
years.
Harold was a past member of the Springhill Volunteer Fire Department
and an
honourary member of the Halifax Police Association for 25 years. He
loved
baseball, fishing, hunting, playing cards and going to the camp with
his friend,
Troy Canning. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family. He
is
survived by his wife of 52 years, the former Joy Langille; sons,
Brian (Mary
Lou), Bridgewater; Michael (Cindy), Kentville; Robbie and Jeffery,
both of
Halifax; Donnie (Dorothy) and Glen, both of Springhill; daughters,
Ann-Marie
(Morley) Wood, Springhill; Sandra and Paulette, both of Ontario;
grandchildren,
Brett, Amanda, Ryan, Katie, Mindy and Mallory, all of Springhill;
Lulu and B.J.,
Bridgewater; and Nicolle, Kentville. He was predeceased by his
brother, Lloyd;
step-brother, Dennison Snowden, and step-sister, Viola Snowden.
Cremation has
taken place. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. on Sunday, August 1,
followed by
funeral service at 2 p.m., both in MacDiarmid's Funeral Home, 5075
Main St.,
Oxford (447-2930) with Rev. Danny Compton officiating. Donations may
be made to
All Saints Hospital, Springhill, or Canadian Cancer Society.
