Clarke, William James (Jim)
Second World War Veteran, 59th Heavy Artillery Regiment (#971622), retired CNR policeman.
Passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on January 24, 2003.
Predeceased by infant son Richard, parents James and Martha Clarke, brother Fred and sister Helen Samson. Leaving to mourn loving wife of 53 years, Audrey (Curlew); son John (Debbie Fry), of St. John's; daughters; Linda Boehner (Robert) of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Melanie Stanley (Paul) of Mount Pearl, Janice Langille (Andrew) of Trepassey.Also two brothers; David (Sandra) and Frank (Beatrice), both of Carbonear; brother-in-law Ed Samson of Carbonear, as well as his grandchildren; Vanessa Boehner, Rebecca and Tim Stanley, Lesley and Matt Clarke, Courtney and Kyle Langille and a large circle of relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 1081 Topsail Road, Mount Pearl, form 7-9 pm Saturday and from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm Sunday. Funeral Servcice to take place from First United Church, Mount Pearl, at 2 pm on Monday, January 27, 2003. Interment in the Field of Honour, Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
