FORRANT (Langille), Margaret Anne Acton, Mass., died November 20, 2008. Margaret was born in 1921 in New Annan. Her family moved to Massachusetts when she was five. Margaret graduated from Needham High School and Boston University. She taught art in New York State, and after completing a Masters program in Social Work, she served for many years as a counselor for Boston Family Services. Later, she worked as an illustrator for Technical Operations in Arlington, Mass. A lifelong animal lover, Margaret's other passions included her extended family, her close friends and neighbours, her home, the outdoors, politics, writing, and anything Scottish or Nova Scotian. For many years Margaret contributed to the preservation of family ties and history as the editor of a biannual family journal, The Byers Connection. Margaret was predeceased by her parents, Walter and Josephine (Byers) Langille; her brother, George "Buddy" Langille, and her husband, David W. Forrant. She is survived by sister, Jean Sampson, of Tatamagouche; and her many beloved Langille and Byers cousins. A celebration of Margaret's life will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 29, in Acton Funeral Home, 470 Mass Ave., Acton. Condolences may be sent to: Actonfh@aol.com.
