Irene Mae Mattatall (Langille)(nee Thompson)
1930 - December 9, 2008
MATTATALL, Irene Mae - Malagash, and formerly of Tatamagouche, daughter of the late James and Margaret (Lockerby) Langille, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2008, in Malagash at the home of her loving caregivers, Monica and George MacKenzie. Irene will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends as a courageous and loving person. Surviving is her husband, Don; son, David Mattatall (Anne); daughters, Donna Burris, Carol Forbes (Jim), all of Tatamagouche; brother, Downey Thompson, Elmsdale; grandchildren, Mark Burris, Adrian Burris, Matthew Forbes (Sarah), Michael Forbes (Jennifer), Adam Mattatall (Erica), Chelsea Mattatall (Tyler); great- grandchildren, Alana Burris, and her mother, Ruth Waugh, Lyla Mae Baird. Irene was predeceased by son, James Mattatall; birth parents, Silas and Flossie Thompson; brothers, Newton Thompson and Raymond Thompson. By Irene's request, cremation has taken place with no visitation. A private burial will take place at a later date in Lockerby Memorial Cemetery, Tatamagouche. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Alzheimer Society Of Nova Scotia. Arrangements have been entrusted to Coulter's Funeral Home (657-3288) P.O. Box 190, Tatamagouche, N.S.
