Jean Florence Langille (nee Henderson)
June 28, 1922 - September 29, 2008
LANGILLE, Jean Florence - 86. It is with heavy, saddened hearts the
children of Jean announce her passing, peacefully in the Palliative
Care Unit of Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, on September 29, 2008.
She was the eldest daughter of the late Frank and Janie (MacDonald)
Henderson of Seafoam. She lived most of her adult life in Pictou.
First and foremost she was a wonderful, loving mother, devoted wife,
and friend to all. She was a lifelong member of St. James Anglican
Church. She worked outside the home later in life, with her first
employer being G.J. Hamilton and Sons. She was also employed for a
time by the lobster factory in Caribou. Her most rewarding employment
was with Edward Mortimer Place (presently Shiretown Nursing Home)
where she was employed as a cook for 12 years. Here she was truly
recognized by staff and residents for her wonderful cooking abilities
as well as her endearing personality. Jean loved to bowl and belonged
to several bowling leagues. She also enjoyed playing the accordion,
knitting and crocheting, and playing auction 45's. Jean is survived
by her daughter, Judy (Tom) Flowers, Pembroke, N.H.; sons, Robert
(Valerie), Hamilton, Ont., and Glen, Pictou; son-in-law, Harold
McGaugh, Florida; daughters, Colleen "Collie", Caribou River; Maxine

Tamara, Amber, Sharon, Krista; 12 great-grandchildren; brothers, John
