LANGILLE, Carl Edward - 58, Porters Lane, Westville, passed away Sunday, September 14, 2003, in Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late William and Elizabeth (O'Brien) Langille. Carl was an active member of Church of The Holy Name, where he served as a former church custodian and also served on the Board of Holy Name Cemetery. He was a member of Knights of Columbus. He was a former employee of White's Book Store, the Co-op and Sears Canada. Carl greatly enjoyed helping others, when able, did many errands for his neighbours and friends and was a volunteer at the Pictou County Food Bank. He is survived by his sister, Clare Malloy (Dale), Granton; Beverly Campbell (Anthony "Archie"), Stellarton; brothers, George (Nettie), Westville; Garfield (Florence), Westville; Francis (Dorothy), Saint John, N.B.; Gordon (Bette Anne), New Glasgow; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sister, Catherine. Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. The Holy Name C.W.L. will recite prayers at 4 p.m. today in the funeral home. Funeral service 11 a.m. Wednesday in Church of The Holy Name, Westville, Father Donald Boudreau officiating. Interment will be in Holy Name Cemetery. Donations in Carl's memory may be made to The Holy Name Church, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or a charity of one's choice.
