LANGILLE, Gerald Joseph - 85, River John, passed away Sunday, June 19, 2005, in Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital, Tatamagouche.
Born in River John,
he was a son of the late James and Flora Belle (Campbell) Langille.
He served in the Second World War with the Cape Breton Highlanders and worked with Department of Highways and also did carpentry work. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 108. He is survived by his wife, the former Doris (Green); son, James (Esther), Truro; daughters, Jacqueline, River John, and Linda (Jim), St. Catherines, Ont.; 11 grandchildren and 16 great- grandchildren. He was predeceased by brother, Aubrey, and granddaughter, Tabatha. The remains will rest in his late residence, Mountain Road from where visitation will be held today from 7-9 p.m. for family and close friends. Funeral service will be held in his late residence Tuesday, June 21, at 2 p.m., Rev. Amanda Longmoore officiating. Burial will take place in Mountain Road Cemetery. Memorial donations in Gerald's memory may be made to Canadian Cancer Society. Funeral arrangements entrusted to MacLeod's Funeral Home, River John.
