LANGILLE, Ruth Melena - 80, Moncton, N.B., and formerly of Oxford, died in her home on Saturday, March 26, 2005. Born in Stellarton, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Beck. Ruth worked at Stanfields in Oxford for many years. She enjoyed country music and going to dances at local legions and the War Veterans' Club in Moncton. Ruth liked doing puzzles, playing bingo, going for Sunday drives, and spending time with family and friends. She is survived by her daughter, Melena George, Guelph, Ont.; stepdaughters, Betty Johnson, Don Mills, Ont., Beulah Langille, Saint John, N.B.; Verla Dobson, Springhill; stepsons, Jerome "Bun" Langille, Saint John, N.B.; Vance Langille, Pugwash; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Orland; son, George; daughter in infancy, Linda; stepson, Roach. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, with funeral service at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, both in MacDiarmid's Funeral Home, 5075 Main St., Oxford (447-2930), with Rev. Ken Thompson officiating. Donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of choice.
