MELANSON (Langille), Violet Amelia -
In her 95th year, formerly of MacDonald St., New Glasgow,
passed away October 18, 1999, in the Glen Haven Manor.
Born in Black River, Pictou Co.,
she was a daughter of the late Daniel and Lydia (Dwyer) Langille.
She was a resident of New Glasgow and a resident of Glen Haven Manor
for the past thirteen years, formerly of MacDonald, N.B.
She was the last surviving member of her parents family.
Beloved mother of Helen Fraser, Lower Sackville;
sons, Milton "Mickey" (Anne), New Glasgow;
Chester (Shirley), Florida;
James "Jim" (Lynn), Winnipeg.
Much loved grandmother of 24 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren;
one
great-great-grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by sons, David, Frederick "Sonny";
son-in-law, Gerald Fraser;
granddaughter, Grace (Fraser) Conatser;
grandson, Andrew John Melanson;
sisters,Ada, Marjorie "Marj", Margaret, Asenath;
brothers, Milton, James, Chester, Clarence, Kitchener, Ont.(sic)
Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today. Funeral 2 p.m. Thursday,
both in R. H. Porter Funeral, New Glasgow, Lieutenant Christopher Janes officiating.
Burial in Lorne Street Cemetery. Family flowers only.
Donations to Glen Haven Manor, Canadian Cancer Society or charity of choice.
*The Ont. that appears after Kitchener is an error - a brother of Violet Amelia was named Kitchener.
