Eva Josephine Mary Pugh (nee Langille)
December 24, 1921 - October 1, 2008
Eva Pugh, formerly of Brookside Drive, Fredericton,
passed away at Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Wednesday, October 1, 2008.
Eve, as her family and friends knew her, was born on Christmas Eve, 1921.
Her last months were spent at York Manor Nursing Home where she enjoyed excellent care.
She was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Carson Pugh;
her daughter, Liz Lyons; her parents, Vernon and Doris (Barnard) Langille
and her sisters, Emily (Joyce) Burtt, Julie Langille and Louise Eckebrecht.
She is survived by her son, Dan Pugh (Evangeline);
daughter, Dr. Beverley Schneider (Marc) both of Fredericton;
sister, Betty Langille of Hamilton, ON and
grandchildren, Jill Green (Derrick), Dr. Amy Schneider (John Michael McPhee), Hugh Schneider (Christina), Daniel Pugh (Denise), Lindsay Lyons, Graham Lyons (Christine);
9 great-grandchildren;
brother-in- law, Ralph Pugh (Eleanor) and sister-in-law, Robin Watling (Robert).
The family will be receiving guests at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Friday, October 3, 2008 from 7-9 pm.
A Funeral Service will take place at St. John the Evangelist Church, Main Street, Fredericton on Sunday, October 5, 2008 at 2 pm with Canon Bill MacMullin officiating.
Pallbearers for the service are Hugh Schneider, Daniel Pugh, Derrick Green, John Michael McPhee, Jon Villers and Trevor Price.
Interment will take place in Douglas Rural Cemetery, Fredericton.
Reception to follow in St. John's Church hall.
For those who wish, remembrance may be made to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Canadian Cancer Society or the New Brunswick SPCA.
