LANGILLE, Whitman Ervine "Whit" - 66, Mill Cove,
passed away October 13, 1999, at home.
Born in Blandford,
he was a son of the late Harold and Martha (Pearl) Langille.
Whit worked with the CNR for 11 years before becoming a stevedore,
retiring in 1993 with 33 years service as a member of the I.L.A Local 269.
A member of Clarke Masonic Lodge 61, Chester,
also a member of Rod and Gun Club, East Chester.
Survived by his wife, the former Lorraine B. Harnish;
daughter, Marlene (Mrs. Eric Jollymore), Sims Settlement;
sons, Robert (Beatrice), Fox Point;
Gregory (Nancy) and Charles (Chrystal), both of Sims Settlement;
brothers, Richard and Jack, both of British Columbia;
Harold Jr., New Brunswick;
Raymond, Brooklyn, Queens Co.
sisters, Cynthia (Mrs. MacPherson Eaton), Gaspereau Valley;
Verna (Mrs. Avery Boutilier), Aspotogan;
grandchildren, Shawn, Jackie, Ashley, Patrick and Justin.
He was predeceased by a sister, Farlee.
Visitation today 2-4, 7-9 p.m. in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, Hubbards.
Followed by cremation,
a committal service will be held Friday 2 p.m. in St. James Anglican Church Cemetery, Fox Point,
Rev. Mark Pretty officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
