His family regrets to announce the passing of John Alfred Langille, 73, on November 23, 2008, at his home in Truro, after a long battle with cancer. Born in Cape John, he was the second son of the late Frederick and Emma (Shannon) Langille. He is survived by sons, Alfred (Karen) Langille, Truro; daughters, Debbie MacFadyen, Ontario, and Donna Wright, Pictou; grandchildren, Matthew, Jesse and Lucas Langille, Natasha Miner (Kelly Chartrand) and Hayley Dawn MacFadyen, Amy (Robert) Clarke, Charlie and Elizabeth Wright, also great- grandchildren, Taya, Camden and Kadain Clarke, who were his pride and joy. He is also survived by brothers, Freddie, Lloyd (Donelda), and Bennie; sisters, Mildred, Doreen (Lorne), Betty (Ralph), Ann and Connie (Thomas), and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by infant daughter, Susan; brothers, Peter, Stewart, Ronnie and David. Remains have been cremated, with no visitation by request. A graveside service will be held in Cape John Cemetery at 11 a.m. Friday, November 28, with Rev. Ken MacLeod officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the care of MacLeod's Funeral Home, River John.
