Robert David Langille

LANGILLE, Robert David - 86, Elmsdale, passed away in the VG site, QEII, on November 8, 2007. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late David and Gladys (Payne) Langille. In his younger years he was a featherweight boxer. He was a very loving husband and father and will always be remembered by his wife and children. Bob was retired from the contracting business, having worked for Cameron Contracting, Maritime Form, Shaw's, and Grant Mills in Nova Scotia and Dominion Steel, Toronto. Surviving are his wife, Lena; sons, Richard, Nine Mile River; Joseph, Elmsdale; Bobby (Debbie), Toronto; Harry (Lisa), Milford; Trevor (Michelle), Nine Mile River; daughters, Debbie (Ed) Lively, Barr Settlement; Donna Langille, Jeddore; and Tracy Lynn (Willie), Toronto; sisters, Mary (Wally), and Edith; and 16 grandchildren. He was predeceased by sons, James Robert and Anthony; daughter, Edna Davis; brothers, Douglas, Don and Victor; sister, Margaret; and by five grandsons. Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Tuesday in Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie, from where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Rev. Betty Darby officiating. Burial will take place in Sand Hill Cemetery, Nine Mile River. Family flowers only, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
