LANGILLE, Jean Elaine - 57, Pugwash, Cumberland Co., passed away January 22, 2007, in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro, following a long and courageous battle from a stroke and its complications. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Roland and Elaine (White) Halverson. Jeannie started out as a homemaker, and after her children started school, she started working at Sunset Adult Residential Centre as a cook. She then began a career as a cook at the Northumberland Memorial Hospital where she was employed for many enjoyable years. She also prepared some wonderful meals for the children at Cyrus Eaton Elementary School in Pugwash. Her final place of employment was East Cumberland Lodge before she became ill. Jeannie loved to spend time with her family and friends. She was an avid bingo player, enjoyed her computer and loved to play skip-bo with the girls. She will be sadly missed by her husband of 39 years, Dale J. Langille; daughters, Tracy (Stacey) Stevens, Treena (Daniel) Fisher, Lainnie (Winston) Patriquin; grandchildren, Jake, Ashley, Elaina, Brent, Lille, Kyle, and Kelsi; sister, Patsy Mitchell; brother, Archie Halverson. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, George Halverson. Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. Thursday, January 25, in Mundles Funeral Home, 204 Water St., Pugwash (243-2506), where the funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Maureen Ellison officiating, with cremation to follow the service.
