MacLEAN, Flora Belle - 86, Halifax.
It is with deep sadness that the family has to announce the sudden passing of Belle MacLean
on February 22, 2003, in the New Halifax Infirmary, QEII.
Born in West New Annan, Colchester Co.,
she was the eldest daughter of the late Gordon and Tena Langille.
She was a long-time member of Fairview United Church where she was a life member of U.C.W.
and a valued volunteer at their weekly Seniors' Luncheon Program.
Surviving are her daughter, Geraldine (Art) MacDonald;
grandchildren, Sharon and John MacDonald, Toronto,
and Sandra MacDonald, Halifax;
sisters, Margaret Rushton, Westville;
Betty Richards, Hamilton and Catherine Matheson, New Glasgow;
special companion, George Mifflin, as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Edwin,
and son, James in infancy.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 25, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
in J.A. Snow Funeral Home, Windsor Street, Halifax.
Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 26, in Fairview United Church,
Rev. Heather Hemming officiating.
Interment to follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Lower Sackville.
If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association
or the memorial fund of Fairview United Church.
