TAYLOR, Harry Francis - 78, Chaswood, Halifax Co., died June 9, 1997,
in Braeside Home for Special Care, Middle Musquodoboit.
Born in Halifax,
he was a son of the late Earl and Bessie (Swinamer) Taylor.
He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He also enjoyed playing guitar and singing.
He was a veteran of the Second World War.
During his varied career, he worked for the CNR,
was a lumberman and had owned and operated a dairy farm and a trucking business.
He was also a Halifax County constable for a short term.
Surviving are his wife, the former Janet Langille;
sons, Brooke, Peter, Middle Musquodoboit;
Earl, Chaswood; Timothy, Truro;
daughter, Peggy Blair, Truro;
11 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren;
brothers, Kenneth, Chaswood,
Chipman, Vancouver, B.C.;
Byron, Simcoe, Ont; sister, Daisy McCoul, Shubenacadie.
He was predeceased by son, William;
sister, Marie Goldie Garbutt.
Visitation 7-9 p.m. today in Ettinger Funeral Home, Middle Musquodoboit.
Funeral 2 p.m. Wednesday in Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie.
Burial in Hillside Cemetery, Middle Musquodoboit.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Braeside Home for Special Care, Gideon Bibles or any charity.
