TATAMAGOUCHE - John George Hatch, 90, Willow Lodge, Tatamagouche,
died Sunday in Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital here.
Born in River John,
he was a son of the late John and Mary Jane (Langille) Hatch.
He served in the Black Watch Batallion and was wounded overseas during the First World War.
Upon returning to Canada, he went west on the harvest excursion and settled in Alberta,
where he farmed and trucked.
He returned to Nova Scotia in 1979 and had been a resident of Willow Lodge since 1980.
He is survived by two daughters, Helen, Medicine Hat, Alta;
Mrs. Violet Bone, Edmonton, Alta;
three sons: George, Montreal, Elmer, Vancouver; Glen, Saskatoon;
27 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren;
two half-sisters, George, River John, Edith Perry, Yarmouth;
three half-brothers, Sanford, Stellarton; James Pictou; Rod, River John.
He was predeceased by his wife, the former Irene Kimball, a daughter, Rose;
two daughters in infancy, Margaret and Darlene;
a son, Stanley,
two sisters, Helen and Beatrice;
a brother, Elmer,
a half sister Margaret, a half brother, Billy, a grandson....
