IVA MAE LANGILLE, - 88, Halifax, formerly of 5515 Victoria Rd., Joseph Howe Manor, Halifax,
died February 12, 1999, at Northwood Manor.
Born in Millvale, Cumberland Co.,
she was the eldest daughter of the late George A. and Eliza (Williams) Scott.
After her marriage, she moved to Martins River, Lunenburg Co.,
where she was active in Home and School Association, Garden Club,
St. Martin's Anglican Church choir and Sunday School Teacher.
She was a member of St. Martin's Anglican Church.
1965 she returned to Halifax where she worked until her retirement.
She attended All Saints Cathedral where she belonged to St. Luke's Ladies Guild.
She was a member of Joseph Howe Manor Tenants Association where she resided for 18 years,
the Widow's Group at Spencer House and the Victoria General Auxiliary.
She is survived by her only child, a daughter, Sharon Gail (Mrs. Harry N. Richard) of Halifax,
and deeply loved grandsons, Lloyd and wife Heather, St. John's Nfld.;
Timothy S., Halifax;
sisters, Thelma (Mrs. Kenneth Peers), Fergus, Ont.;
Mildred Brownell, Lois (Mrs. Camille Burke) and sister-in-law, Jean Scott, Amherst;
also many cousins, nieces and nephews and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband, Earl Lloyd Scott Langille,
and brothers, Lloyd, Russell, and Cecil.
Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today, memorial celebration of Iva's life by
Rev. Jim Anderson will be 2 p.n. Sunday, all in Snow's Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor St., Halifax.
Burial in St. Martin's Anglican Church cemetery.
