James Robert MacKay
October 30, 1909 - August 31, 2002
MacKAY, James Robert - New Annan, passed away in
Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro, August 31, 2002.
Born in Central New Annan, in 1909,
he was a son of the late Robert and Elizabeth (Chalmers) MacKay.
He was a lumberman, construction superintendent and
13 years prior to retirement a real estate agent with Pat King Real Estate Ltd., Dartmouth,
where he resided for 30 years before retiring to New Annan in 1980.
He was a member of Salem United Church, Tatamagouche Mountain.
He is survived by his wife, Marie (Langille) MacKay;
sister-in-law, Pearl MacKay, New Annan;
niece, Carolyn (Phillip) Potashner; grandnephew, Robert Spagnolo, both of Las Vegas.
He was predeceased by brother, John D.;
sisters, Hester, Margaret and Maude Jones.
Cremation has taken place.
Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. today in Coulter's Funeral Home, Tatamagouche.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in West New Annan United Church,
Rev. Bonnie Kelly officiating.
Burial in Bell Gift Cemetery, West New Annan.
Reception to follow in Wilson's School, Central New Annan.
