CHAMBERS, E. Curtis - 66, Tatamagouche, passed away July 21, 2001,
in Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital, Tatamagouche.
Born in Sandville, Colchester Co.,
he was a son of the late Luther and Rena Ethel (Langille) Chambers.
For several years he had worked for the Ford Motor Company in Oakville, Ont.
and returned to Tatamagouche in 1973 to operate Chambers Backhoe Service.
He loved old time music and playing guitar.
Surviving are his wife, Hazel;
son, Curtis Jr. "Criss", Truro;
daughter, Sheryl (Michael Purdy), Wallace;
grandsons, Isaac Curtis and Matthew Winston;
stepsons, Carl Wood, Fort McMurray, Alta.; Glen Wood, Burlington, Ont.;
brothers, John (Evelyn) and Clarence (Muriel), both of Tatamagouche;
sister, Marina Long (Garry), Perth-Andover, N.B.;
several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by brother, Stewart.
Cremation has taken place. No visitation by request.
A graveside memorial service will be Wednesday, July 25,
in Lockerby Memorial Cemetery, Tatamagouche, Rev. Morley Bentley officiating.
Family flowers only by request.
Memorial donations can be made to the North Shore Health Services Foundation
or a charity of choice. Arrangements entrusted to Coulter's Funeral Home, Tatamagouche.
Following the service, friends and relatives are invited to
the Chowder House Cafe (Munch Inn) on Main Street for a time of fellowship and remembrance.
