MacINTOSH, Ernest Elmer - 82, Malagash,
passed away May 17, 2001, in North Cumberland Memorial Hospital, Pugwash.
Born in Oxford,
he was a son of the late Duncan and Alice (Tate) (MacIntosh) Langille.
He was a veteran of the Second World War,
having served overseas between 1942-1946 with the North Nova Highlanders
as a dispatcher with the Royal Canadian Corp of Signals.
He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Seaside Branch 104, Wallace.
He was employed a total of 35 years with the Canadian Salt Company,
having worked both in Malagash and Pugwash, retiring in 1973.
Surviving are his wife, the former Emma Waugh;
daughter, Sheila (Danny) Boutilier, St. Mary's River;
son, Kenneth, Malagash;
sister, Jean (Edmond) Hurley, Amherst;
several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by brother, Kenneth; stepfather, Stephen Langille.
Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today, with a Legion tribute service at 7 p.m.,
funeral service 2 p.m. Saturday, all in Mundle's Funeral Home, Pugwash,
Rev. H. Martyn VanEssen officiating.
Burial will be in Lockerby Cemetery, Tatamagouche.
