LEITHEAD, Harriet Lolletta "Hattie" - 91,
of the Maritime Oddfellows Home, Pictou and formerly of Lyons Brook,
died Friday, February 23, 2001, in the Maritime Oddfellows Home.
Born in River John, N.S.,
she was a daughter of the late Edwin and Elizabeth (Langille) Heighton.
Hattie was a member of the Lyons Brook United Church
and enjoyed quilting, crocheting and reading.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Surviving are nephews, George A. Grant, Lower Plymouth;
Gerald Grant, Pictou;
Aulden Grant, Stratford, Ont.;
Darrell Heighton, Lyons Brook;
nieces, Shirley Bedford, Pictou;
Faye Williams, Kanata, Ont.;
Marion McCallum, Dartmouth.
She was predeceased by her husband, Ira on February 23, 1966;
sisters, Alice Grant, Susan Campbell, Florence Morrison;
brothers, Seward in World War I,
Alfred and Hibbert.
Visitation will be held 2-4 p.m. only today in the McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou.
Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Monday in the McLaren Funeral Chapel, Pictou
with Mary MacDermid officiating.
Burial will be in the Haliburton Cemetery.
Family flowers only please.
Donations may be made to the Maritime Oddfellows Home, Pictou or the Lyons Brook United Church.
