BAILLIE, John James Alexander "Jack" - 69, of Scotsburn,
passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2001, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow,
after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Plainfield, Pictou County,
he was a son of the late John and Alexandria (Langille) Baillie.
He is survived by his wife, the former Shirley Watters;
sons, Terry, Truro;
Kenneth (Mary), St. Peters;
Mike, at home;
daughter, Tammy (Dale), Pictou;
and three special grandchildren who were his pride and joy,
Geoff, Julie and Samantha, Pa! Pa! Loved you very much;
brothers, Alden (Pam), Westville Rd.;
Leonard (Phyllis), Calgary;
Gary (Carol), Plainfield;
sister, Grace Hawboldt, Plainfield;
several nieces and nephews;
step-father, Harold Morrison, Pictou.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by a brother-in-law, Weldon Hawboldt
and two nephews, Alfred Hawboldt and John Watters.
Jack was a retired employee of Ferguson Industries, Pictou
and will be remembered by his family and relatives for his great sense of humour.
Cremation has taken place.
There will be no visitation by request.
A private family funeral service will be held at the McLaren Funeral Home Chapel, Pictou
with Rev. Kate Ballagh-Steeper officiating.
No flowers by request.
In Jack's memory donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
