The death occurred on Dec. 15 of George William Hiltz,
62-year-old residence of Barren Road, River John,
after an illness of many months,
during which time he spent some weeks in Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow,
and L.F. Hospital, Tatamagouche.
Known as an industrious worker and a good neighbour,
he leaves to mourn the lost of a kind husband and father,
his wife, the former Lula Langille;
four daughters, Edith, Mrs Burt Jollimore; Jean, Mrs. Gordon MacKenzie; River John;
Edna, Mrs. John Gilbert, and Elsie, Mrs. Max Brown, of Toronto;
and five sons, Freeman, Boyd and Harold, River John, and,
Austin and Donald, of Toronto.
The funeral was held from his home on Dec. 17, conducted by Rev. F.W.Plummer,
who took as his text, "Blessed are they that die in the Lord".
Hymns sung were "The Lord's My Shepherd", "Jesus, Lover of My Soul" and "Safe In
The Arms of Jesus".
There were many beautiful floral offerings.
Interment took place at Mountain Road Cemetery.----
