He was a former superintendent of Plymouth Waterworks.
He joined the Merchant Marines in 1936 and was a plumber.
Earlier, he served in the U.S. Navy as a shipfitter.
Mr. Langill was a member and former governor of Hillsborough Moose Lodge.
He was born in Plymouth, the son of Howard and Kate (Piper) Langill.
He attended Plymouth Schools.
Survivors include his wife, Pauline (Armis) Langill of Ashland, N.H.;
one son, Winthrop H. Langill of Newport;
three daughters, Jean Langill Bailey of Claremont,
Anita Langill of West Palm Beach, Fla.,
and Linda Robinson of Akron, Ohio;
three sisters, Catherine Neeves of Haverhill,
Christine Avery of Ashland,
and Lillian Dicenso of Raymond, Mass.; and eight grandchildren.
